Blacks dominated heavyweight boxing historically but have fell off in recent times. Which is what this current thread is about. Usyk and Tyson Fury are the champs right now. So us hillbillies have no problem with watching boxing. Mexicans do well in smaller divisions because yall are tiny and quick. Too small for giants though. Thats why there's weight classes.

A bigger rarity is a great white American boxer. Who was the last great one? Rocky Marciano?

I mean Rocky Marciano would wipe out Mexicos entire history of top heavyweight boxers all by himself. So that already would be enough.

But beyond that... MMA is vastly > Boxing because it encompasses the entire range of fighting. Punching, kicking, wrestling, submitting, elbowing and kneeing... everything. Its a real fight. Not just a myopic 1 dimensional dance.

Mexicans are pretty good wrestlers but the problem is you fall short of white boys there too especially the dagestan or Russians. Even whites like multiple time champ Stipe, Dan Severn, Mark Coleman, Don Frye, Shamrock. etc. all americans. Tough as ****. You chicos would get ragdolled by these guys.

UFC in general is declining. PPV sales are low and there are no big names in the sport like in the past. Even then, a Mexican was choking out the biggest name in the UFC back when it had star power.

Munguia would shit stomp Marciano. 6’0 with ~73 reach vs Rocky’s 5’10 with 68 reach, and boxing training and mechanics have changed a lot since Rocky’s day, as well as the level of competition. Watch how Marciano leads with his head, considering he even survives he’d eat like 300 shots in a 12 rounder.
