Default Is Dylan Harper the Spurs' best guard? Can the three co-exist? They need shooting

Only three games but this guy is really incredible for a rookie. He's insane at getting to the rim and finishing, good at making the right pass at the right time. Defense is ok.

Can him Fox and Castle all be on the Spurs?

Surely the Spurs have to dump one of them. Which one is it going to be? They desperately need shooters but they're 3-0 despite this.

That's not really how that works anyways. They're all really good players but they're not super complimentary. Maybe they can get it done regardless though. Idk, I just know through my history of basketball watching experience that simply having the best players isn't always the best outcome. People need to excel at certain roles.

Drafting the best overall player regardless of your needs is usually the best way to go because it gives you increased options in terms of trades but in terms of on the court, idk.

Yes and no lol. Resigning Fox was idiotic. Aside from Wemby Harper is their best prospect by far. His ability to beat guys off the dribble, get to the rim and finish is uncanny.

I am not convinced that Flagg is a better prospect than Harper. I had Harper at 1 on my board during the first half of the season.

6'3 6'5 6'6. Should be able to play them together at times. Need talent and vets. Can make trades when the time comes

It’s still about spacing though. You need really good shooters at least 3 of your positions now in the NBA, 4 is preferred.

I agree but with that for you need to have guys who can space. You need at least 2, preferably 3 to give him room and the rest of the team to do his thing.

Circling back and you are gonna say this is a troll post but it’s legit. This is why Rudy’s value gets mitigated, it is difficult to put guys around him. With his negative spacing you need to have at least 3 or 4 other guys around him who can shoot the lights out.

Not difficult. The jazz did it than thought rubio and favors spotting up in the corners was better. Or that gobert could guard 5 guys by himself. Or not throw it to the guy wide open at the basket. Many ways to space the floor if you have to guard the rim it is harder to guard the perimeter

You stick in the 90’s offensive mind. Games done changed son.

Jazz had best offense in league with gobert.

Teams are going bigger so actually going more towards the 90s

Wide open shooters because of the elite rim running threat. Guard the rim? Guard the perimeter

Dude it’s the other way around if Rudy wasn’t surrounded by elite shooting there would be no lanes to run through, even that being said it’s not like he’s capitalizing on it with his stone hands.

You have the chicken and the egg argument backwards with Rudy and spacing

Rudy can thrive with spacing, he doesn’t create it. He needs the elite spacing to become anything on the offensive side of the ball. (Not unlike most players but it’s heightened exponentially with Rudy)
