no.
I would rather have Gordon, Bayless, Randolph or trade down for Augustine instead.

Yeah....Bayless would work. But he's not that much of a PG. So running that team? Eh. Seattle has Durant at the SG. He's going nowhere. You got Jeff Green at SF. Took him high last draft. You can explore C and PG. You think OJ Mayo can work as a PG? He wouldnt be a bad pick over Bayless. I like OJ more.
Thing is what Seattle needs...not much will be at 4. BPA might end up taking a player that plays a position where u just draft 2 guys in the top 5 last draft. Thats why I'd be all for a trade down or a trade....bring back some established players for a team lookin for a young talent.
BPA at 4 would be Lopez. But I dont see him there so OJ Mayo (he'd be 3 on my top 5 draft prospect list).

Deandre Jordan? You mean Chicago should add yet another undeveloped big man? In terms of adding a young talent who will rely on his athletic ability and hopefully over time develop thier actual skill.
If you trade down, in that trade you better be bringing back a productive player. Otherwise its really stupid to move down. Better off taking that icecream cone over Jordan. Atleast Lopez can score. How effective in the NBA? Remains to be seen, but you dont gotta wait 4-5yrs thats for sure.
Bad GM you are.
Its Rose or Beasley. Only other option? A deal you cant refuse.
First I think you can bring in a productive player by trading down. Second, Jordan I think is a better fit than Ty or Noah (especially). He has great size, and has the potential to be a legit post threat like the Lemarcus Aldridge they missed out on and can do it on both ends. But like I said, I'd probably take Beasley, but no way I'd take Rose if Im them. He should be out of the question.

Re: The Official NBA '08 Draft Lottery Thread
I too was hyped on DeAndre Jordan's physical gifts coming out of HS.
But son avg 8 and 6 vs. college kids.
Eight and Six. He seriously might exit the lottery.

Maybe you see something that scouts and people did in Darko.
Kid wasnt even the best player on his team. During game the you forgot he was even a top NBA prospect. Like really. You say he is a better fit more than Ty/Noah, but based on what? His size basically? The fact he has size to play the position when the NBA nowadays? Most teams just put out ther 5 best, most talented players and no the sterotypical position player.
D.Jordan should have stayed in school and tried if he improved to be the #1 pick next draft. But he'll go high based on mysterious potential that he really didnt show much in college. He has size, he's athletic and somehow you are gonna develop him like some damn play dough into a legit post player.
I got all night buddy...punch them keys!
Getting The Bulls out of the equation because I've already changed my mind to Beasley for them.
But Deandre's size and potential is scary. I think he can develop a Al Horford/Bynum type body, and be a very solid post player with Bynum potential and I think he'll get there. He should've gone back to school but (to bring Chi back into the convo) his abilities are what Chicago really need. But Beasley will be fine.
But I must add this. I think Deandre's almost a sure fire thing to be where Bynum was at the stage before he got hurt (I think he and for that matter Bynum will be better than that, but that's where I see him being soon enough) . Beasley IMO is about as sure a thing to fulfill his superstar potential as Marvin Williams did and Rose about as sure a thing as Conley, as in they are the most overall talented, but from what I saw in college with both of them is not something I foresee translating to the league statistically (much like I don't with Durant)
Now type away

I see him being Kyle Lowry at best in the NBA and it would be a horrible pickup for us. Westbrook is a slasher and then we'd have no way to space the floor with Kaman and Brand on the interior and Thornton, Maggette, Westbrook all slashing. I love to see guys be aggressive and take the ball in like that and all but a guy like Eric Gordon would just fit us so much better. Im hoping Gordon slips to us.

Commentary:
[quote]-We’ve already heard NBA teams wonder about the poor wingspan that Jerryd Bayless possesses, at just 6-3, especially considering that there are already positional concerns about him. O.J. Mayo is also just slightly above average (for a normal person) with his 6-6 wingspan, but still has solid size at 6-5 in shoes, which will allow him to play either guard position effectively in the NBA. Donte Greene doesn’t have much length to speak of either at 6-10. Derrick Rose is the real deal on paper as well at 6-3
