Yeah, it is easy to forget how athletic Ray Allen used to be. I just posted it to remind people how he used to be because of the way he has been playing lately.

I'm sure a fair few people still remember this since it was sort of recentish -
Kobe with the amazing delivery to Turiaf, who celebrates the dunk by flailing wildly to the floor and acting like he's been shot :)

Absolutely ridiculous elevation by Monta in the rookie-soph game. Look where the little fella gets his head at!

I've never seen a little man dunk as effortlessly as Monta

I was watching another nba video when I saw a link to some 'rare' Vince Carter dunk. Clicked it out of curiosity, turns out I'd seen it before. But there were links to more videos which were definitely good to watch again.
Some vintage nastiness from a young Vince Carter (high resolution):

Top 10 In-your-face dunks by Carter (high resolution again):

They still never fail to amaze me no matter how many times I've seen them. I don't know what it is about Vince's dunks. He could do exactly the same dunk as someone else, but his will always look far more spectacular.
We might see players who can jump higher than Vince. We might see players who can do technically more complicated dunks than Vince. But I don't think we'll ever see another player be able to make their dunks look so damn good.
If I ever needed to illustrate to someone that dunking can be an art form, Vince would be the first example I'd use - I wouldn't even need to think about it.

A very interesting video demonstrating a program that allows you to watch live NBA playoffs games on your own computer. you can watch Espn and a couple of NBA channels and heaps more
