April, 2009: DeJuan is a big strong low post player. He has a big body and is very effective in the low post. He has always played up a grade level or two in summer basketball and has still been very effective if not dominant. He scores mostly on the low block off drop steps, power moves and tip ins. He will need to learn how to score over his shoulders inside. He is a solid face up shooter to 14 feet. He is not a great athlete but is a good basketball athlete. He is a very good rebounder inside. He is an effort player on the block in that he tends to out work his opponents for rebounds. He is an ok defender at this point. It is easy to see that the defensive end of the court has not been a priority for him yet. DeJuan is one of the elite prospects in the 2012 class.
