The champ is here.
JaVale McGee
Is he the next big thing?
I seem to think so.
Tall, Long and Athletic.
Can run the floor and has a soft touch.
And will swat anything that comes his way.
The wizards seem to under-value the draft, yet they got a gem.
Will Flip Saunders use this man to his full potential?
discuss...

Re: JaVale McGee
An interesting fact I found out, McGee is the first ever NBA player to be the son of an WNBA player. His mom, Pam McGee who played with Cherryl Miller at USC and won an olympic medal in Los Angeles 84. She played in only 2 WNBA seasons.
Here is she.

I find JaVale strangely light for a guy whose both parents are blacks.
Same here. He's lighter than Obama, actually. I'd say something like "well, maybe George Montgomery isn't the real father", but there aren't really that many other 7 footers out there, and he does look like the dude.

Re: JaVale McGee
Guy has tons of potential, him and Blatche could wreak some serious havoc at the 4 and 5, respectively. If we do need to bulk up at any point during the season, those are the two players we would want playing front court ball.
Here's a short interview of him at the USA Ball mini camp
