I dont have a certain preference, but I do like shoes which are casual and comfortable, they do not need to be with shiny appearance or amazing design, but have to be durable and fitting.

Nike Air Max 90 on outdoor courts/casual and Nike HyperDunk on an indoor court
Air max look cool and are comfortable and same thing with hyperdunk

Most of people here in Portugal use classic Adidas or All Stars now, i prefer rocking with my Reebok Pump Court Victory

Adidas...all day everyday. I haven't bought a pair of Nikes in like 15 years. That may change as everyone is telling me Kobes are legit and I need some new bball shoes. Adidas is slipping up lately.
