Re: European teams summer signings
Report now in Greece is that Bilbao asked Verginis to stay for Eurocup games, but he got a good offer and a big role from Aris so he decided to take it.
So he should back in Aris again.

Good for him, I don't think he'd get much playing time with Zisis and L

Katsikaris is nuts.............
Pappas is just destroying Greek League right now...............dude is on another level from all other European players his age.

In Katsikaris we trust
5-1 so far, beating two EL teams.
Next one, Real Madrid!

Like I said, you have a real nice team. However, Pappas is better than anyone on the team.

Haven't seen him play, so I can't really judge, but I doubt it.

Look at the stats:
http://www.esake.gr/main/index.php?p...art_statistics
He's 2nd in points per game to Gagaloudis (one of the best Greek guards for years) and he's first in ranking.
And he's not doing it on a small, bad club. Panionios is a very deep team and is loaded with very good players throughout the roster. Putting those kinds of numbers on a team with so many good players is just unbelievable.
If you watch the games, he is getting a lot of dunks. He's also running the offense well and pretty much setting the tempo and dictating the pace of the game.
They switched him to PG from SG, where he has been playing the last few years, and it seems like his game just exploded when they did that.

I'm sure he's playing great, just saying it's only been a few games.

Re: European teams summer signings
The great Panionios loaded with great players just got their asses kicked by a middling Belgian team. Matt Lojeski and Wes Wilkinson tore them up together with 41 points and 14 rebounds.

Like I said, I don't know what the hell Katsikaris was thinking.........
Unfortunately, by doing what he did to Pappas, he delayed his development by about 2 years. Anyway, Pappas is the best player in Europe at his age that I have seen in recent times.......
