Bad acting, bad directing, cliche scenes (shitload of them), pretentious from the get go.
I wanted to love this film, was very disappointed.
what was cliche?
to me the entire film was the complete opposite of normal Super Hero films...
you want to know what cliche is? the villain stabbing Batman in the side and describing her entire master plan to him before he could die...THAT is cliche
Watchmen? the Super Hero's die...one right at the start...it was then shown that he killed a woman pregnant with his child...One is the Heros is 1000x more powerful than the rest...a nuke goes off...etc...it was anything BUT typical

Yeah, what the hell is up with villains revealing their master plan when dealing with protagonist with a history of always coming out on top in the end? Its like how Jack Bauer always figures out the plan behind the plan behind the master plan that no one else seem to be able to notice. You start to wish villains would just stfu, at least until their plan actually goes through.

Old comic book trope. They make fun of it sometimes because it was, and continues to be prevalent in the genre.

It certainly wasn't as epic as they wanted it to be. The movie felt hollow...especially as compared to the 2nd one.

Yeah, seeing holes where there aren't really holes. The main hole i can see people complaining about is how Bruce got back into Gotham when it was supposed to be on lockdown. I've watched the movie about four times and each time its still very entertaining. Its a three hour movie (i think) that feels like it goes by in half the time, a sign of great pacing and directing.

Re: Chris Nolan / Zack Snyder "MAN OF STEEL"
At the end of the day its still a movie about a grown man dressing up as a super hero to fight bad guys without the use of guns. I know Nolan grounds it so much that people expect a dark psychological drama, but only so much can be done without scrapping the Batman character completely.

superman would be a much more interesting character if his alter ego was a homeless alcoholic named hancock.
