I like how everyone gets excited when Lebron gets 30 5 5....Kobe's been doing this for 17 seasons and at age 34.
Been doing this for almost like 2 decades.
Been there done it.

Wait a minute! Are you trying to compare Lebron's and Kobe's all around game???? Excited???
When I see in a boxscore smt like 30/9/7 next to Lebron's name my only reaction is: "Meeeh"

It's funny how Lebron fans get excited but I've seen Kobe do that during his time with Shaq.
We weren't talking about 30 5 5 then. With Lebron, everyone wants to talk about it.
I'm just saying Kobe's been doing it before it even became a topic of discussion.

So explain me how Lebron has 207 30/5/5 games in his 10 years career and is 8 games away from Jordan for that no.1 place all time, and Kobe has 143 in 17 years career. How much better Lebron has to be to have 64 more 30/5/5 games than Kobe in 7 years less?

Kobes time with Shaq? Its not really comparable as Lebron is the first option on his team while Kobe was second behind shaq
But this stupid Kobe fanboyism is derailing the topic at hand.

well, looks like Kobe's averaging 30-5-5 for the season so far... does that count? if only the team could pick up their defense and so they start winning 80% of their games, cause he deserves to be in the MVP discussion.

you are clearly an idiot and a complete fanboi. The media actually takes lebron's unearthly statlines for granted most nights. kobe fans make a thread every time he scores 30 on 40 shots. sure, kobe is great and he has many great all around statlines. But comparing his impact on the game to lebron is asinine.

Kobe and Lebron have different jobs on the court. pretty simple. same reason Kobe has a couple hundred more 30+ point scoring games than Lebron and three times as many 40+ scoring games. and Lebron has a ton more triple doubles.

Durant had 40 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists tonight. Just missed a 30-5-5-5 game by two blocks. That's the third or fourth game this season he's missed a 30-5-5-5 game by 1-2 blocks or 1-2 steals.
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400278143
That's also his 6th 30-5-5 game of the season, matching his total all of last season I think.

As an OKC fan, what improvement do you want to most see from KD? I respect his efforts to get better on D/playmaking (in addition to his shooting and scoring, which get better every seasons), but I'd really like to see him become a dominant rebounder at his position. I'm not sure if his frame can handle boxing out/playing down low enough for it, but if he averages 10-11 rebounds a game (everything else constant), I think he's clearly the best player in the game. Now this is in a vacuum of course and it might not be better for the team, but from a selfish POV that's the improvement I'd like to see (especially after mentioning that he likens his game most to Bird's...given it's harder to get rebounds today with fewer possessions, but Larry Legend did outrebound Moses for a series or two in his day and as meaningless as raw RPG is, that 10.0 career mark by Bird is pretty sweet no doubt).
