Re: Which is the most impressive 50-40-90 season?
Threw this together:
Bird 1986-87: 28.1 PPG, 9.2 RPG, 7.6 APG 52/40/91
Bird 1987-88: 29.9PPG, 9.3 RPG, 6.1 APG 52/41/91
Price 1988-89: 18.9 PPG, 3 RPG, 8.4 APG 52/44/90
Miller 1993-94: 19.9 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 3.1 APG 50/42/91
Nash 2005-06: 18.8 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 10.5 APG 51/44/92
Dirk 2006-07: 24.6 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 3.4 APG 50/41/90
Nash 2007-08: 18.6 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 11.1 APG 50/47/90
Nash 2008-09: 15.7 PPG, 3 RPG, 9.7 APG 50/44/93
Nash 2009-10: 16.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 11 APG 50/42/93
Durant 2012-13: 28.1 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 4.6 APG 51/41/90
Bird and Durant stand out the most for me. Nash's assist totals are pretty godly but the lack of points brings those seasons down a bit. Shooting 47% from downtown doe

no,it doesn't. Just scoring wise, durant has the best season of all of them given how many 3s he takes.
Bird wins it overall though.

Bird scored like 2 more than the next best, so him (1988)... Even his 2nd best is 3rd in ppg..
Also if you consider the whole package, let's say, Bird is just clearly ahead, even though is peak was in 1986.

I wonder, should we redefine the 50-40-90 as 50% 2P% (instead of FG%)? Why double-count 3P% if it just penalizes guys for taking a bunch of threes?
