Beal for me .... I think Beal can be a legit first option given time. Klay is also older (24) if that matters .. Beal is just 20.

On offense, it's not much of a debate as Klay seems to be the better shooter, clearly. Beal seems to be the better passer, slightly, but not the overall shooter Thompson is. Both need to work on their creativity on offense too.

On defense, Thompson does have more length and size to be more effective than Beal. From what I've seen from Beal, he needs to improve a lot on his man to man defense.

Biggest difference to me is Thompson is far more durable. Klay has missed 1 out of 225 games in his career. Beal has missed 35 out of 164 games in his career. This is where size and strength matter for a player like Thompson and which you should ultimately go with him, as I don't see Beal being consistently healthy.
