Default Lebron and Duncan were outplayed by their own position

LeBron and Tim Duncan both got outplayed by their own position

Duncan got shut down by Malone in 2004 playoffs. Duncan got outplayed by Dirk in 2006 playoffs.

LeBron got shut down by Kawhi in 2014 playoffs. LeBron got outplayed by Durant in 2017 or 2018 finals.

That should be an automatic disqualification from GOAT status. You can't get outplayed or shut down by another all time great that plays your own position.

Kawhit melting down in the playoffs has broken your brain. Now get back to fingering your blow up sex doll and get back on your medicine.

That's an empty arena that made Tyler Herro look like a superstar, nobody gives a shit.

got beaten by Jason Terry and JJ Barea in his prime and with superstar on his side, there's no coming back from that.

Kobe got swept by them, and then failed with a super team the very next year

And then had the worst Farwell tour of all time a few years later

No need to pile on though, let him rest

Exactly. 5 times worse then losing in a stupid bubble. Kawhi was also 1st best player by GmSc, LeBron was 3rd best and outscored by Jason terry hahhaha

As far as Duncan, he gets his ass kicked every time he faces a true superstar like Dirk in 06 or Kobe in 08.

Terry swept Kobe and Pierce dispatches Kobe in 6 games in 07/08 thoughts?

Wade had 27PPG, 61% TS and a 22.7 GmSc. Looking like finals MVP ALPHA wade.

Pau Gasol was crying about Shannon Brown sticking it to his wife and had 12PPG, 48% TS and 11.4 GmSc. Can you say beta? Hahaha

    Big differences in co stars.

What superstar did MJ ever face at his own position, though? Drexler is the only one and he was on a bum knee. He never faced a KD-level player at his position (which would be someone like Jerry West, not a top 40 all-time player like Drexler).

That's true. Magic was a point guard and Drexler was jimmy butler. Durant outplaying LeBron in 2018 finals is also like what Larry Bird did to Jordan in 1987 playoffs. Bird/Durant had stacked teams.

Duncan lost to Kobe and Dirk on 1 man teams though, pretty sad.

Duncan beat Kobe AND Shaq in 2003 as a one man team.

He's 8-18 against Kobe/Phil, variance just kicked in that one lucky year. 2004 he lost again.

Duncan will always be greater than Kawhit. Get over it.
