1. TRUE or FALSE: Paul George can be the best player on a Championship team.
--True. Now that championship team would need to be more Detroit Pistons style than Dirk's Mavs, but I'm convinced he can be the man after he went toe-to-toe with LeBron.

2. What to do with Danny Granger?
A) Keep Danny Granger this season and then re=sign him at season's end
B) Keep Danny Granger this season and let him walk at end of year
C) Keep Dannger Granger this season and sign-and-trade him at end of year
D) Trade Danny Granger now for assets

--First try and play Granger and George together because if it works out, you are looking at two legit 20+ point scorers on any given night. Every championship team needs a second option and I don't feel Hibbert or West are true second options. If it doesn't work, ideally you would get a point guard (because Hill IS NOT the answer), but I doubt you will get a starting point guard in return for Granger. At least a sixth man, assuming Granger wouldn't want to be that guy because the Pacers bench really lacks scoring if you put Stephenson back in the starting lineup. I have never been a fan of letting a player with value walk when you could have gotten something back.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.
--Underrated by whom? I think they are up there with the Spurs, Lakers, etc.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?
--Scola. As I said in the Golden State topic, the value of a legit all around big off your bench can't be measured.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....
--LeBron dying and Rose tearing his other ACL. Unless George Hill turns into Magic or Hibbert turns into Shaq, I don't think there's any possible way they can beat Miami or Chicago. The most important player to their success is Hill because he's the weakest link at arguably the most important position.

THE INDIANA PACERS

PG - Hill/Watson

SF - Granger/Copeland
PF - West/Scola/Hill
C - Hibbert/Mahinmi

Head Coach - Frank Vogel
General Manager - Kevin Pritchard

1. TRUE or FALSE: Paul George can be the best player on a Championship team.

True. I am one of those fans who thinks the idea that you can only win with the best player in the league is pretty overblown. Paul George was the best player on a team that would have beaten the heat without a dumb coaching mistake or with a single nba caliber player on their bench. That is pretty damn impressive.
2. What to do with Danny Granger?
A) Keep Danny Granger this season and then re-sign him at season's end
B) Keep Danny Granger this season and let him walk at end of year
C) Keep Dannger Granger this season and sign-and-trade him at end of year
D) Trade Danny Granger now for assets
Let it play out till the trade deadline. They already massively improved their bench even if hes not back up to granny danger levels. What can they get for him? Is stephenson really ready for a primetime, dependable role? They have the luxury of having a former allstar still in his prime that they dont really need to be a great team. He could put them over the top or they could end up with a bunch of great assets moving forward. Though, after seeing what OKC got for Harden, I would be hesitant to trade him if the offer was in that same minorleague ballpark.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.

They are a damn good front office, but I think people recognize that.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?

I will go with Watson, just because the ball handling was terrible without hill (an average to slightly above average pg) on the floor. I do think that scola allows them to rest west more without a significant dropoff. Copeland will be interesting as well. Where are his minutes? At the 4? is that better than scola there? or the 3? over granger? His skill set will be an interesting mesh with this team.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....

Clearly the x factor is hibbert playing like a ridiculous defensive monster. That is what truly sets this team apart (everyone else helps, but the team D is anchored in a way that has rarely been seen in recent years). His poise and control in going straight up in challenging the ball is pretty ****ing incredible.

1. TRUE or FALSE: Paul George can be the best player on a Championship team.
A -- One of the hardest answers. I will say yes, based solely on the fact that I have Indiana as third most likely to win the title next year... and George is their best player. If I were to do a draft using all players in the league, though, he would not be a top 5 pick, and maybe not top 10.

A -- Love this question. One of the few times I will say trade him. Ideally he would be traded for a better starting SG that can also back up George. But really, as long as you get even a late first round and some cap relief, it's worth it in my books.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.
A -- I think the Heat do. People are too quick to criticize how the team came together, and pick on Lebron, Wade and Bosh... but the FO has done a fabulous job putting impact players around them.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?
A -- Scola. He is really good. Watson is a nice player, too, and adds a nice change-of-pace, but Scola is a legit good player.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is....
A -- To get super specific, it depends on who they face. But in general I would say Stephenson. He showed flashes of brilliance (and idiocy) last postseason. If he can become more dependable, or even take the next step to "good"....
A VISUAL BONUS QUESTION!

1. TRUE or FALSE: Paul George can be the best player on a Championship team.

True. He is good enough defensively and willing to sacrifice his scoring so I can see him winning a titled as the best player on a very balanced team. At the same time, he has shown enough potential at the offensive end to be able to carry the load as a scorer in a series. I think I would feel ok about him being the guy either way. He still hasn't convinced me he can go the true "superstar" route but he is damn close.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.

I would wait it out until the deadline unless they get a great offer now. I think it is a no lose situation to wait it out. He might hurt his trade value if he comes back looking a step slow but you will still get his production in a playoff push if that is the case.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?

I would probably lean toward Copeland because he can give them the perimeter scoring they need off the bench. It is hard to say without seeing Granger back honestly. I think CJ Watson is the easy answer because of how bad their PG play was in the ECF but I just don't see him making a big impact.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....

Hard not to think of Lance when you hear X-Factor and Pacers in the same sentence. If he learns to play with more controlled agression and learns to shoot, then I think he will be exactly the type of 6th man that can energize a team in a playoff series.

Not yet, he is not a superstar. Can grow into being one, but needs to improve.

2. What to do with Danny Granger?
A) Keep Danny Granger this season and then re-sign him at season's end

Granger might work coming off the bench, but if someone is willing to trade for him and you can get a good return, trade him.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.

True to a certain degree, they've put together a great team, with depth and have drafted well.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?

Luis Scola will be massive.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....

Granger if he is still on the team. I bet he can still light it up.

True, Pacers can contend for a championship next year and Paul George is the best player in their roster.

Wait until the trade deadline, if George-Granger lineup work out keep him if not trade him.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.
Underrated? they been making good signing for couple of years, i think a lot of people recognize that.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?
Scola, a decent big who can back up the 4 position

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is....
Stephenson, the dude is a decent 6th man if he does control his aggressiveness.

1. TRUE or FALSE: Paul George can be the best player on a Championship team.

For that to happen, he'd have to develop into a Pippen like player capable of around 22/8/6. Right now i don't think he could be the clear cut best player on a title team, but in tandem with Hibbert and Granger, they could do it.

2. What to do with Danny Granger?
A) Keep Danny Granger this season and then re-sign him at season's end

A

True.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?

Luis Scola.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....

Roy Hibbert being capable of a 20-12 in the playoffs every night, not just every two games.

1. TRUE or FALSE: Paul George can be the best player on a Championship team.
True. I don't think he's reached his peak. But even if he has, a team like Indy can win a title. And it's most likely he'd be the best player on the team.

C. Gotta see what you can get out of this current core - West, Hibbert, George, and Granger. Granger can do pretty much anything decently and if Indy is a bust in the playoffs (which I guess the threshold is making the ECF), then it'd be apparent that the core needs a change, perhaps not even just Granger.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.
False? I mean, I think a lot of people "in the now" rate Indy's front office fairly high. Larry Bird just won Exec of the Year a couple seasons ago.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?
Luis Scola. West is getting older and less healthy. Scola adds some kind of big presence when West and/or Hibbert is out. I think Copeland is a really nice addition. He can be an elite bench player. But I always put a priority on bigs.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....
Miami's motivation. If Indy is to get to the Finals, they'll have to go through Chicago and/or Miami. I think health withstanding, Indy can beat Chicago in a 7-game series 4 times out of 5. But vs. Miami? Every game would be like a 50/50 toss up. Until Miami gets motivated to dominate. If Miami finally starts suffering from being content, or possibly even fatigued from 3 consecutive long playoff runs, then Indy's chance of making the Finals increases greatly.

1. TRUE or FALSE: Paul George can be the best player on a Championship team. True he's talented and has a elite supporting cast I think quiet a few players in the NBA with George's supporting cast could be the best player so no reason why he can't be on a championship team.

2. What to do with Danny Granger?
Trade him to the Kings , but nah seriously I'd keep him and see how he is for a couple months, if he's ok than keep him you need him against one Lebron James, if he isn't try package him for a microwave scorer and another piece you might need.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league. No comment really, they are good no doubt. They pick up of Hibbert has turned out epic for them.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season? Scola via landslide, he will be going up against bench big's and the guy has been tearing up starters his whole career with his crafty game and ability to hit the jumper.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....
Roy Hibbert if he can dominate everything else opens up for the rest of the roster.

False. He can be the best 2nd option.

2. What to do with Danny Granger?

B) Keep Danny Granger this season and let him walk at end of year
C) Keep Dannger Granger this season and sign-and-trade him at end of year

D. Trade Granger now while he still has value. they don't know whether he'll be back to form. good if he does, bad if he doesn't and they let him play. he'll lose value. the Pacers really need a couple of good pieces to make them complete.

3. TRUE or FALSE: Pacers have the most underrated front office in the league.

False. The starters was built by Bird. The present front office built the bench you've been seeing the past years. underrated? they deserve to be fired. look at Indiana's picks and trades post Bird and now that he's back.

4. Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, or CJ Watson: Which addition will impact the Pacers most this season?

Scola. because he's a scorer and the Pacers need scoring a lot.

5. The "X Factor" to get the Pacers to the Finals is.....

Larry Bird as coach. only way they get past Miami.

This one is difficult. My answer is dependent on how he ends up playing this season. So I'd say it could be any of the 4, really.
If I had to choose right now, though, I'd say I'd go with C. Trade him after the season ends if he still has value, depending on the season's outcome and his performance.

Roy Hibbert. If he can become a 20+ ppg, 10+ rebounder a night type of player, he'll already be a top 3 C in the league. Shit, he's arguably top 3 anyway, which is pretty sad. I think he's the X factor because if he can manage to dominate the paint like he should (given his height, athleticism and overall giant stature), the Pacers will be difficult to beat.

1. Yes. Can is the operative term though. I don't think he is the "best" player though. Maybe co-best with West.

2. I think you have to see how he can work with George/Stevenson. If it works keep him, if not trade before the d/l for a wing and a point.

3. No. Spurs.

4. Scola, duh.

5. Hibbert. the heat are still the biggest obstacle, and unless oden can all of a sudden play and play well for 30 mins, he's gonna be their most important.

False. I don't think they are underrated. They do have good drafts but have not won a championship yet.

Im not sure if any of them will have a huge impact but to answer the question, Ill go with Watson
