Today's team?

THE PHILADELPHIA 76ERS

PG - MCW not MKG/Wroten
SG - Richardson
SF - Turner/Anderson
PF - Young/Moultrie/Allen/Noel/White
C - Hawes/Brown/Ohlbrecht

Head Coach - Brett Brown
General Manager - Sam Hinkie

1. SMART OR STUPID: 76ers trade Jrue Holiday for Nerlens Noel and a first round pick.
THE BAGELRED RANT: We all know everyone is going to say "SMART". The Sixers are the ultimate example with what's wrong with the NBA structure and the draft system. Teams are trading proven talent away (Jrue Holiday) and not signing proven talent in free agency (Sixers didn't sign anybody of significance), so they can be as awful as possible and get high draft picks. This is revered by basketball writers and analysts as strategic management. Even NBA fans believe this is smart. About 10 teams should try to win the title, but the other 20 teams should all "just tank". If you don't try to tank, you must be stupid. They laugh at teams like the Bucks and Raptors who try to sign current talent to win games, and praise teams like the Magic and Sixers who purposely lose for the next 3-5 years. Really? Tanking is the easiest thing in the world. It's not "genius" to make yourself bad for the next 5 years. It's actually pretty f-cking simple. But this goes against everything that sports is about, which is, you know, actually trying to win games...now. This is backwards and wrong. You all agree, right? Who's with me?......crickets.....crickets......
2. With Jrue Holiday gone, who is the Sixers best player? Is it the perennially so underrated now he's overrated Thaddeus Young? Or is it the perennially perplexing but still intriguing Evan Turner? No, you can't say Andrew Wiggins.

3. Most likely gone by the trade deadline: Spencer Hawes, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, or Thaddeus Young.

4. FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU...FOOL ME TWICE...: Which sophomore will have the best season? Arnett Moultrie, Royce White, or Tony Wroten Jr.
No one cares. I know. I need a question, doggone it. Just shut up.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Philadelphia 76ers will win at least 20 games this season.

BONUS FUN WITH NAMES!

Shouldn't his name be Noel Nerlens and not Nerlens Noel? It's backwards, I tells ya!
Is there anyone else on the planet named Nerlens? Of course not.
Are his parents paying tribute to New Orleans? Ne'rlens?
From now on, his name is Noel Nerlens.

So give us at least one NBA player, past or present, who should have his name flipped.

I'll give you an example. Check this out.

James Lebron

See what I did there? James is very often a first name, and certainly Lebron can fit easily as a last name.
Right? Isn't that amazing? I just blew your f-cking mind.

OK, you try.

You can elaborate on your answers.

Next up: Phoenix Suns. Have a Five Question suggestion for the Suns? Send me a PM with ideas.

I am generally with you. I think the bucks get disparaged way too much for trying to compete for a playoff spot every year. But, this was smart. They traded for a young big who would've been the consensus #1 without his injury and got another likely lottery pick in what is considered the deepest draft in a decade. That was smart.

2. With Jrue Holiday gone, who is the Sixers best player? Is it the perennially so underrated now he's overrated Thaddeus Young? Or is it the perennially perplexing but still intriguing Evan Turner? No, you can't say Andrew Wiggins.

Is Royce White. Oh, you meant a player who will actually play? Its probably young, but there is not a lot to like on that team. J Rich was great back in the day.

3. Most likely gone by the trade deadline: Spencer Hawes, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, or Thaddeus Young.

Young in a package. I cant imagine there is much of a market for hawes or richardson. Turner is a weird case. Hasnt lived up to the hype but is still something of a prospect. If he shows a lot this year, it might be him.

4. FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU...FOOL ME TWICE...: Which sophomore will have the best season? Arnett Moultrie, Royce White, or Tony Wroten Jr.
I know. No one cares. I need a question, doggone it. Just shut up.

Probably Wroten. Splitting time with a rookie, so I expect him to get more burn than the other two.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Philadelphia 76ers will win at least 20 games this season.

I'm gonna say true. Kwame Brown will lead them to the promised land!

1. SMART OR STUPID: 76ers trade Jrue Holiday for Nerlens Noel and a first round pick.

Kind of stupid, I would have kept Jrue for the rebuild. I do think Baglered's rant is stupid. I am very glad my team did the sensible thing for a small market team to do. Now the cavs are loaded with young talent that will grow together organically rather than over pay for some quasi-allstar free agent. There are plenty of risks involved in tanking aside from drafting busts.

2. With Jrue Holiday gone, who is the Sixers best player? Is it the perennially so underrated now he's overrated Thaddeus Young? Or is it the perennially perplexing but still intriguing Evan Turner? No, you can't say Andrew Wiggins.

I have no idea.

3. Most likely gone by the trade deadline: Spencer Hawes, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, or Thaddeus Young.

Thaddeus

Moultrie

TRUE. They gotta win more than 20.

1. SMART OR STUPID: 76ers trade Jrue Holiday for Nerlens Noel and a first round pick.
--Smart-ish. 76ers had to blow it up and I don't know about you, but it's not blowing it up unless you blow the ****ing thing up. Which meant bye bye, Jrue. Again, I think Noel turns into a Noah clone so I love it. I still wonder why he dropped, tho. NBA GMs aren't stupid. Wait... Well what's the chances that many NBA GMs are stupid in a row? The Peli's pick should be a lottery as well. Two lottery picks in this draft? Yes, please.

2. With Jrue Holiday gone, who is the Sixers best player? Is it the perennially so underrated now he's overrated Thaddeus Young? Or is it the perennially perplexing but still intriguing Evan Turner? No, you can't say Andrew Wiggins.
--I don't know, probably Thad Young. I've always liked Spencer Hawes but 76ers fans keep telling me he's soft. He looks good whenever I catch a game.

3. Most likely gone by the trade deadline: Spencer Hawes, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, or Thaddeus Young.
--Who in the hell wants Jason Richardson? Fun fact: Hawes, Young, and Turner are all about 6-7 months apart in age.

4. FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU...FOOL ME TWICE...: Which sophomore will have the best season? Arnett Moultrie, Royce White, or Tony Wroten Jr.
No one cares. I know. I need a question, doggone it. Just shut up.

--I think Tony Wroten could start in the NBA if he continues to improve. He's a perfect example of a kid who came out too early. If he stayed in college for another season or two, you would be looking at a lottery pick. The others are garbage. Actually, it's an insult to put Moultrie and White in the same sentence. Moultrie is garbage. White is vomiting in your own hands, eating it, having acidic diarrhea, then drinking that.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Philadelphia 76ers will win at least 20 games this season.
--Nah. They probably could. If their team has any brains, they won't.

1. SMART OR STUPID: 76ers trade Jrue Holiday for Nerlens Noel and a first round pick.
A -- Under the current rules, it was smart. I just hate to see that lack of competitiveness from a professional organization. Can't wait until the lottery rules change.

2. With Jrue Holiday gone, who is the Sixers best player? Is it the perennially so underrated now he's overrated Thaddeus Young? Or is it the perennially perplexing but still intriguing Evan Turner?
A -- Probably Young, though if Turner improves again it will be him.

3. Most likely gone by the trade deadline: Spencer Hawes, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, or Thaddeus Young.
A -- Richardson, as he's the oldest and has a useful skill set for contending teams.

4. FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU...FOOL ME TWICE...: Which sophomore will have the best season? Arnett Moultrie, Royce White, or Tony Wroten Jr.
A -- I don't know a single thing about of them.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Philadelphia 76ers will win at least 20 games this season.
A -- True. Really, really hard to win less than 20, especially when multiple teams are tanking.

BONUS FUN WITH NAMES!

A -- Not because it "should" be switched, but this switched name rolls off the tongue... Allen Ray.

Was it smart to trade Holiday? Depends on where they end up in the draft next year. If they get Wiggins, then it will be worth it. If it is someone else, then we'll have to see.

Smart. Even with Jrue Holiday with them last season they didn't even make in the playoffs. And I have a high feel for Nerlens Noel.

2. With Jrue Holiday gone, who is the Sixers best player? Is it the perennially so underrated now he's overrated Thaddeus Young? Or is it the perennially perplexing but still intriguing Evan Turner?

I would say Young, Evan Tuner was totally inconsistent.

3. Most likely gone by the trade deadline: Spencer Hawes, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, or Thaddeus Young.

Evan Turner

4. FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU...FOOL ME TWICE...: Which sophomore will have the best season? Arnett Moultrie, Royce White, or Tony Wroten Jr.

1. SMART OR STUPID: 76ers trade Jrue Holiday for Nerlens Noel and a first round pick.

Smart. The team hasn't won more than 43 games in 10 full seasons, but have won no less than 33 games just once. Which has led to a full decade of mediocrity. You can't rebuild half ass, you have to go all in. They got (before the knee injury) the consensus #1 pick in this draft and likely 2 lottery picks in next year's draft, one considered the best since '03. Good young teams build through the draft in connecting years. OKC, Indiana, Golden State...examples of teams that have built their nucleus through good draft picks all close in age.

2. With Jrue Holiday gone, who is the Sixers best player? Is it the perennially so underrated now he's overrated Thaddeus Young? Or is it the perennially perplexing but still intriguing Evan Turner?

I still believe in Turner as a 16/6/5 guy with solid defense. He's the best player left, which says just about nothing. Thaddeus is a solid piece for a winning team, but if he's leading it in any statistical category you have a problem. I'll say Turner.

3. Most likely gone by the trade deadline: Spencer Hawes, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, or Thaddeus Young.

Richardson may be tough to trade. He'll be 34 at the trade deadline, likely with 0 games played in the last year due to injury, and a player option for '14-'15 at 6+ mil.

Whatever is offered for Turner it won't be of equal value. Young has the best chance of offering valuable compensation in return so I say him.

4. FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU...FOOL ME TWICE...: Which sophomore will have the best season? Arnett Moultrie, Royce White, or Tony Wroten Jr.

Moultrie is likely out until January after just having surgery. If he comes back healthy, it's him, given the lack of depth on the front line.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Philadelphia 76ers will win at least 20 games this season.

They'll be in the 18-22 win range. I'll take the under.
