Austin Reaves, Anthony Edwards and Pablo Banchero were the highlights of that Team USA. Of course they are gonna call them back.

Reaves got targeted.

Yeah, well back then players were taught how to play the game from a young age and selected for their ability to do so.

Recent generations of American players are taught how to do moves that sell gatorade and shoes. AAU doesnt care if the kids know how to play basketball. It's all about who can dunk the ball while sipping a bottle of sprite and winking at the camera.

That’s also a size, rebounding, defense, diverse play style and matchup thing. Today’s game is way too homogenized. Everybody plays the same way. And not to mention basically nobody on that. USA team played defense. Anthony Edwards here and there but not consistent enough.
