Devin Booker, D'Aaron Fox, Damian Lillard and Kyrie Irving have all also expressed interest in playing for Team USA in Paris. Anthony Edwards and Mikal Bridges are also expected receive consideration from the World Cup team. In addition, Bam Adebayo and Desmond Bane are expected to be considered for the roster.


Team USA is also expected to try to recruit Joel Embiid. Embiid hasn't suited up for an international tournament and remains eligible to play for either the United States or France, should he choose to play in the Olympics.

I think people are gonna be surprised how competitive these other teams are even when we send our best. We shouldn’t be at this point but nobody ever seems to remember how close some of these calls have been even when we send dream teams.

I think people are gonna be surprised how competitive these other teams are even when we send our best. Curry's shooting in a low pressure environment where he doesn't have to carry teams in what will basically amount to a series of All-Star games is enough to throw everything on its head. You'll see, if they end up going.

People forget that in the last olympics Durant, Lillard, Booker, Tatum, Bam, etc were all there and they almost lost too, they were really lucky.

On this roster they had 3 2023 all stars, best defensive player of the year, number 1 draft picks, etc, so it's also not as if they picked the worst guys out there and the other teams also didn't have their best players out there.

The gap has been small for alot of years already now. Just have to look that many of the best players and MVP's in the NBA came from europe. This isn't 1970 anymore, the gap is small...

Kyrie was an international MVP and is just as good now as he was back then. He just got done averaging 27/6/5 on elite efficiency with the Mavs a few months ago.

And Fox definitely can shoot. You must've missed his performance against the warriors in last years playoffs. His midrange game and even long range pull up ability is elite.

It's amazing how you non stop rep gobert and shit on guys who have performed way better than him at higher levels of competition.
