I doubt he’d come back to the league now. Media and society are supportive of gay players but when it’s more being outed than announcing they don’t know how to report it without sounding wrong. I read your original post while I was walking to the car. I was gonna tell you to just go read what all the fuss is about. He’s just gay. Which is fine. If he will say these things in public even in a court situation, he knows is going to be out there. He’s probably prepared to talk about it if somebody in the media would do it, but I don’t think anybody has balls enough to ask that question these days.

he’s gonna have to call somebody up to do a sit down or something. He knows it’s out there now and that if anybody the least bit affiliated with him would have to know. I’m sure his family and friends all know and if they didn’t, they know now. It’s pretty much outed.

Maybe the lack of discussion is the gay thing getting to where I mentioned in another topic the trans thing is supposed to be. Where it comes out and we don’t acknowledge it because it doesn’t matter. The legal part of it is what’s weird to me.

You can be accused of things happening with a man that don’t get reported because you’re gay, but if you were accused of the same things by a woman, every legitimate news outlet will talk about it.

this is at least the second time he has some legal issue that would be reported if it were with a woman. If we had reached a point where it didn’t matter, Dwight Howard merely being in a case, that involves the word “consent” would get mentioned by somebody in media, wouldn’t it?
