Zach Lowe had some positive comments about their D on his 11/7 podcast.

In the clip someone posted of defensive sequences against boston it looked like they were sagging off pretty hard at the 3 point line a lot. Warriors play the wolves twice coming up soon. Will be interesting to see how things play out.

looked like he Gobert was able to play more in the middle. Close enough to bother shooters on the perimeter while still being able to get back in the paint. Nice to have everyone buying in so you can use all your strengths

“Anthony Edwards is a top-10 player in the NBA right now,” an NBA scout told *********. “He’s the real deal and plays both sides of the ball. Minnesota has two top-10 NBA defenders: Rudy Gobert, with his rim protection, and Jaden McDaniels, one of the best defenders on the perimeter. People forget they played Denver tough the last few games of their series. I think they can be a real threat in the West.” “The Timberwolves are coming,” another NBA scout told *********. “They defend at a high level and play with a chip on their shoulder and hard. I think they’ll be one of the top four teams in the West if they stay healthy this season.”

Ant is averaging 28/6/5 with a 61% TS and is playing good D. It isn't that big of a reach to call him a top 10 player.

great D. An actual two way player. Maybe if he got more triple doubles he'd get the hype of the one way stat stuffers get?

The media is starting to take notice. Well, Vegas to be specific. Vegas usually is way more reliable as actual money is on the line and they don't give a shit about narrative.
