Case by case. A great many people pay no income tax and most of what they contribute tax wise is in the form of sales and property taxes.

Say a millionaire pays the property taxes on his house and expensive car....plus say....200K in state taxes....forget federal for now. just state.

You also have a barber from a few miles away who pays no taxes because he operates in cash and doesnt do returns(I have barbers in the family).

When that barbers kid goes to local public schools who provided more of the funding for it to run? Him...or the millionaire? Who puts money towards fixing roads?

How would you word it when 1 percent of a state pays almost half of all taxes which Cuomo says happens in NY? Speaking of which he claims a number of them moved business to other states because of the tax laws and it cost them over 2 billion dollars the first year.

These people provide an irreplaceable portion of the budget.

All of this verbosity and you people still ignore the bottom line. That is, once the pendulum swings too far the other way, and you have 60% of the population that can't afford a $1000 emergency, the fact that CEOS make so much more than the worker compared to the 70s, and I could go on down the list of things that plague America financially for literally another few paragraphs IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE RICH GETTING TAXED. It will happen. Period. It's reach a tipping point when Fox News shows 54% of its viewers supporting taxing the rich more. That's why Trump went all out on this tax cut that didn't help his own constituents and now they're b!tching. That's why he's trying to compare progressive economic ideas with f** Venezuela instead of the nordic countries. I don't feel that the rich should have their money 'taken' away per se. But should they pay more in taxes? Im down for that.

Some of these rich people could be taxed 50% and they'd still have enough money to last them generations. Some of them hoard it for generations and generations to come.

Is it fair that they give more?

Some will argue that they benefit the most from our services, they also have manipulated tax rules in their favor.

There should be different tiers of course, not just one broad tax bracket.

It's not so much about taking away as it's about 'sharing'. I've always been thought that it's noble to share when you can.

There is zero moral high ground associated with taking money away from people who earned it.

I bet the majority of these people live in high tax blue states and Trump got rid of or lowered SALT deductions. Their blame should be at the feet of the state they live in.

FYI...the democratic socialist countries you worship? They tax the shit out of the middle class. Norway eliminated the estate tax in 2014 and have a corporate tax rate of 24%.
