Re: Livingston retires
Class act guy, comes back from an injury that would have ended most careers and was a valuable glue guy, way underrated. His midrange game was deadly, and he just always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Cheers to a fine career.

Amazing that he was able to carve a real career for himself after that injury. Big kudos to him and hope he enjoys retirement

Nobody thought he would come back like he did after that injury. A class act, and a joy to watch.
Shai Gilgeous Alexander has the potential to be the player Livingston could have been before the injury.

I'll always wonder what he could have been if his knee never got destroyed. 6-7 point guards are pretty rare.

Yeah, it's great that he was able to last so long in the league after that awful injury, but it's still really unfortunate because obviously he wasn't the player that he could've been. He would've at least been an all-star caliber PG if he didn't destroy his leg.

From the Ringer:
Livingston tore his ACL, PCL, and meniscus, sprained his MCL, and dislocated his kneecap. It was as if there had been a small car crash localized entirely on the middle of his left leg. Doctors checked for gangrene and considered amputation.
All on one play. Are you kidding me? And it took him several years and teams to get back, yet he didn't give up. Much respect.

God I knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was to the point where they considered ****ing amputation. Crazy stuff. And then the man came back and had a career longer than 90% of NBA players.
Definitely gotta respect that.

So many jump hooks over littler point guards

Props to to him for getting injured the way he did, and being persistent on the long road back. It took him literally 4-5 years to get consistent minutes with a NBA team after that leg injury.
