Why is there no affirmative action in sports?
There are plenty of other races besides whites and blacks that lack opportunities. We need Samoans in the league!

After doing some research OP is totally wrong about Samoans needing Affirmative action in sports. 40 Times More Likely to Play in the NFL than any other group of people.

ALL scientific indicators suggest conservatives are more engaging, popular with women, and happier.

Why is there no affirmative action in sports?
Because they have to win!
People only think about people quantitatively when they don't really care about who's doing what. When the function is thought to just take care of itself, and you can just plug anyone in.
That's obviously not the case with sports. Maybe with baseball, but you still need guys who can hit the ball.
In the NBA, we'll continue to see it with coaches and referees. The job of an NBA coach is basically that of a team secretary, so you're going to see more 'under-represented' groups in those slots. And they're doing whatever they can to remove the human element from refereeing, so that's another spot where people are become interchangeable.
Can you imagine what the job pitch for referees is these days? "Can you look at a camera for 10 minutes to make the correct call? Can you listen to 30 year old millionaires complain at you for 2 hours straight without snapping back? Here's a whistle, you'll do great. Now, whenever the guys who are featured in the commercials run over someone with a different colored jersey, you blow your whistle. Then you tell the scorers' table the jersey number of the guy he knocked over. Got it?"

Not enough Latinos represented in the NBA. We have to do something about this.
