Laimbeer draws 12 fouls in a Finals game

NBA rookie of the year
Re: Laimbeer draws 12 fouls in a Finals game
Used all 6 of his own fouls, probably got his money’s worth on some of em.
And drew 12 on the blazers.
Ultimate troll.
Never read enough to fully understand the psyche of enjoying being hated, and using it as motivation.

Rodman was definitely Laimbeer's student and successor. This reminds me of the 1996 Finals where Rodman was getting into the head of the Sonics' players, especially Frank Brickowski (sp.) drawing fouls. Also, just as Laimbeer was a master flopper in the 1990 Finals, Rodman took flopping to a new level in the 1996 Finals.

It's an artform to be hated...but not hated enough for someone to break your leg. These NBA players have connection to gangsters and one phone call is all it takes for an "accident" to happen.

As a player he's right there with the low tier guys...but those low tier guys didn't go on to have a HOF career coaching the WNBA.

He'd go in as a coach for sure, but not a player.
Because, now Mark Aguirre needs to go in if he does. Norm Nixon, etc. Tom Chambers.
He was probably never a top 20 player anytime during his career.

Rodman vs. Brickowski is one of the low key most fun battles ever!

Always funny to see Laimbeer get backed down in front of the basket. He'd take a shoulder to the chest and flail backwards with his arms looking like he's doing the backstroke.
