Would Mavs improve with Rudy Gobert? Is a trade possible?
I've wanted Rudy for Mavs for a long time.
I can only imagine the dynasty that Mavs would be with Gobert on defense and offense all he needs to do is catch lobs.
Is it even possible to make such a trade for Mavs? Probably not right? Would have to be picks, but do Mavs even have them.

Gafford and Lively are doing a good job. Dallas' defense has been elite since the trade. And they get a handful of efficient lobs per game between the pair.

I don't know about improving, but Kobe probably would have finished close to 100 had he not been pulled out of that 62 3 quarters game. and even the casuals would admit that's the only time they watch Mavs basketball.

Lively is great and a future all star, but Gafford has not looked so good in the playoffs. Kind of a tweener honestly. He's good at dunking and a decent rebounder, but he's a bad defender.

Less triple doubles for luka with one of the great rebounders ever next to him

Wilt only has one 80+ point game. So they're not letting Kobe have multiple. Heck Kobe doesn't even have multiple 70+ point games while Wilt has six.

Imagine, if you will, half of the successful lobs that Dallas converted this year, becoming frustrating, embarrassing turnovers, and their pace becoming even slower.
Now imagine their rim protection not changing, and imagine toody being a terrible influence on the development of lively, turning him into a windsurfing beekeeper. And imagine Doncic demanding a trade at the all star break.
That can all be yours, Dallas, if you trade for the Toods.

Why would their pace slow? How would their rim protection not change? Lively would likely be part of the deal. Certainly not a good tradefor gobert. Back to his last years in utah trying to guard 5 guys by himself again

Rudy's way too afraid to run and gun, in fact, he begged management to bring Conley in just to calm those nerves down, it was a time period where ownership and fan base needed to slowly transition from low end drugs to fruits

It would be a gamble for sure.
A KP situation.
You could be right that Luka will not tolerate the frenchie's antics, but if Rudy would do as asked, then they really could have a modern day Stockton and Malone situation going on, where they'd compliment each other perfectly.
Also, both Luka and Rudy like to play at a snail's pace, so why not.

He didnt have to ask for conley. Cancer for conley was a no brainer ad it should have been for the jazz too but they didnt want to give up exum. Jazz had top offense in league. Pretty sure he started and played big minutes.
