Pascal is a champ, he could have chosen to foul.

You can't blame the players for listening to the coach

    Sometimes players know best ...
Obviously you don't foul when player is shooting but foul before the shot. Or let them shot the uncontested layup.
All of us not in the NBA on this forum would agree.

Dont know why they went to Haliburton for the last shot of reg. Should have gone to Nesmith who had it going on from the middie… didnt need a 3.
Nothing pisses me off more than a contested 3 when the game’s tied. You’re wide open, fine, but if you’re tightly guarded then get a higher percentage shot.

Yeah Reese was gettin a lil greedy towards the end of the game. Lil too much glory hunting. He got lucky White fouled him on that three, it was a terrible shot. The game winner he missed was a bad shot. And the play where he dribbled out of bounds, Siakam was tryin to set a pick for him but he just ran away from it, trying to beat Holiday on his own.

He played great besides the last minute of 4th and overtime.
    Haliburton in the last minute.
    Turnover
    Terrible miss at buzzer

Mazzulla needs to address the defense. Didn't sic Brown on Siakam until literal the last minute and need a better way to deal with Turner. Hopefully Tillman situation is resolved positively and then maybe give him some of those reserve minutes on Turner. Tatum and whoever else also needs to deal with Toppin. Brown is Siakam kryptonite so no need to put Tatum on him, have Brown guard him and Tatum silence Toppin.

    The Mental:

Nerve-wracking as it was this was a great experience for the Cs because it gave them some confidence in themselves and each other in the clutch. The only real problem with the regular season the Celtics had is that they had so few tough clutch games that the few times they need to step up they were in shock and even when they lost they had such a great record it didn't matter. Today facing by far the most pressure they have all season their stars came through after a fourth quarter where they were mostly bad with Brown missing shots and Tatum not even getting the ball. Brown hot the biggest shot he's ever hit and then tatum showed superstar form in overtime.

What a finish. Was in attendance tonight. Place was rocking.

My takeaways: Siakam in that little pick and pop was working wonders for Indiana. Halliburton is disgusting. Haven’t really watched him much this season, but he’s legit. Finally the Celtics showed up in the clutch.

We stole that one to be honest. Have to come out better in game two and limit was Indiana does offensively.

    Also, Turner>Bam

Indiana is very dangerous if Tyrese is back to his pre-injury form. Which he looks to be since the 2nd round.

He came up short under pressure. It's okay since he's still young and in his ecf debut. But we saw how this couldn't be lopsided at least.
