A week from today I'm going to participate in a clinical trial that'll pay me 7.2k for a 17 day stay. in fact while i'm there i'm going to launch a website with a ton of different stuff (analyzing california's political candidates, blogging about sports related stuff, some other things).

my parents also help me with living expenses because they're supportive of what I'm trying to do, and I also saved them all that money they saved up for college by not actually going for more than a year.

i also just go on craigslist and find stuff to make a quick few bucks. a lot of the tv shows and gameshows that tape during the weekday out here pay you to go sit in the audience for a few hours, so i do that once in a while. if you're intelligent, articulate, and presentable and you look around, you can find ways to make money out here.

Didnt mean to upset you this way Alan. Thats why I didnt single you out by name, but I guess some aspect of my post struck a nerve. I guess it is food for thought tho.

This is sort of making my point. Youve been stewing about my comment for a day and a half and frantically dug thru every old post you think may belong to me to find some sort of "ammo" for revenge. And it hardly amounts to a poke in the eye for me. Not even that. What you posted doesnt bother me in the least and Ill forget about it as soon as I close ISH.

But obviously youre struggling with some big picture things. Unfortunately it's extremely hard to change 'flaws' that are simply coded into each of our own unique personalities. We all have them. I struggle with it too. We are who we are. Even when we dont want to be.

Im long past the days of going back and forth, back and forth with you exchanging personal insults. It's just not interesting conversation for me anymore. And we dont really have much in common as far as interests. So theres just not much for me to really say to you.

Anyway, wish you the best. I do think the way you behave is genuinely tedious and annoying, not charming or witty as you might be hoping to convince yourself. Trolling is not really your strength. You try super hard with results that are super underwhelming. Youre not good at it, and it's sort of an awkward thing to force. This is dead ass honest advice. I would look for a different approach. Just be genuine and relaxed. If people clown you just give em a "yeah, yeah" and maybe a single retort and move on. Your current approach where you beef with people across multiple threads and start mess in order to engage people for attention... it's just a bad look. Warriorfan, Chewing, whoever... these guys are funnier than you. You might have strengths that they dont, but not this. Youre provoking people on terms that are disadvantageous for you. And I think taking those unnecessary, self-inflicted L's over and over is bad for your mental health. I know it's lonely sometimes to go for periods of time without being the center of attention, but I feel like humiliating yourself to get attention does more damage in the long run. So I would look to change course.

So anyway the point is altho I dont care for you personally, I dont wish you misery. I hope somehow you can find a positive outcome. Just like I hope that for Delivery Carrington.

Well yeah, I guess it would be better phrased as I dont care for the persona you cut on ISH. It is genuinely grating on the nerves, and not in a "but Id miss it if it were gone" way. I dont miss it at all when you arent posting, because of the way you post.

But you the human being on the other end of the computer... I wish that person happiness. Because I think that will go hand in hand with being less irritating. More than any other poster, it's very clear when "Alan's going thru a lonely period." And so we know when youre struggling. And so for your sake and ISH's I hope you can find ways to reduce those. Of course you can chit chat on ISH when youre in the mood for some company. But you gotta stop going emotionally overboard with every interaction. Use ISH as filler, in between moments of irl fulfillment. Dont get sucked into trying to be the King of ISH and changing your avatar every day to reflect that, and making weird forced memes about Gangbang Solutions or pronouncements about who's allowed to talk to you and all that. Because nobody else cares. You're either taking this place way too seriously or are trying to be creative in ways that really arent hitting the mark. Dont live thru ISH. Just chit chat. Dont go overboard.
