There-in lies the issue, modern teams aren't built with contingencies. Like the offenses now are centered around various ways to take the 3. And most of these guys are now hard-coded to shoot them regardless. That's evident when you see a fastbreak and guys run to the 3point line instead of head towards the basket. We've seen teams trade 3/4/5 possessions in a row of taking them without a single make, at no point does going inside for a two enter the equation.
The reality, there are few teams today that shoots the 3 'that well' to be taking 40 of them. The Warriors dynasty ended 5 years ago, but the league just took the blueprint and ran with it, I would argue needlessly, because no-one features three shooters with the combined prowess of Steph/Klay/KD. Hell no team has shooters as potent as Steph and Klay by themselves.

And the Celtics are stubbornly sticking to the style that won them 64 games and a Championship. Acting like the Celtics' approach isn't consistently highly successful is stupid. You want to complain it's boring? Whatever, you like what you like. You want to argue that it doesn't work? That's an argument with reality.

Full Court loves sniffing genitals of random people far normal than him
The warriors should definitely get the blame for making threes a very common trend in the games these days.

I’m only talking about an observation based on one game, not the season as a whole as you are referring to. This isn’t criticizing the success of the Celtics because they do have players that can make the three. It’s a criticism on how ugly the game can be when you have teams that all they do is chuck up threes, and in this instance, they just kept chucking despite missing so many. And it actually led to them losing the game even when the opposing team shot less than half of those 3’s. So it’s an observation about how the game has changed and teams are more reliant on the three than ever before. I find it troubling that at no point did Boston decide that it was better for them on an off night to take it to hole instead.
Even if the three is the key to their success, the game is ugly now because of it.

Re: The Celtics took 54 threes last night
Ainge and Stevens intentionally assembled a roster full of guys that can hit threes. They didn't do that to not shoot them. A shooter isn't going to stop shooting because his shots aren't falling in the first quarter. So why would a team fill of shooters act that way? The Celtics concern themselves with the type of threes they are shooting, if they are good looks created off of good ball movement orare the shots well-contested? That's the thinking that judges their offense, not the simplistic approach of "are we on today?" If the shots they take are good looks the offense will almost always be effective.
Whether or not you find it entertaining is a different issue, and something they aren't going to concern themselves with. If the NBA feels like they have an entertainment quality problem then they will have to find the right rule changes to make the Celtics and other teams play a different way just like how they made rule changes that led to the 3 spam.

This sounds a lot like peak Harden and Houston. Obviously Celtics are favorites, but losing games just because you have no plan B, that is what happened with those Houston teams. Of course with playoffs being all 7 game series, the odds probably even out.

No one on the Celtics plays anything at all like Harden. And it's not like they can't generate 2s, they just prioritize the three because it's more efficient. Something most of the league does. They just do it better.

16-54 as a team. They shot more threes than twos.
And they still lost to the Pacers who only took 23 threes. That’s less than half.
The game is broken.
Wow.. they lost a team that shot less than half of their 3s. Boston is so lame.
