It didn't matter because the margin of victory was 40 PPG, while Curry outplaying Lebron mattered because the games were tight.. The reality is that the US had to overcome Lebron's 5 turnovers in 24 minutes per game (10 per 48 min) and a ball-dominance that froze out Curry and Ant for half the tourney, and Tatum for all of it.. So Lebron was horrible in the Olympics, which is why the US barely won despite 12x the All-NBA stars as their opponents

Also we know none of MJ's olympic rings matters because, as you just said, there was so worldwide competition in those days. The "modern" NBA didn't start until 2003 when MJ was basically done.
The media has created a massive fraud by pretending a perennial loser and choker like Lebron is actually a winner and clutch.
But his horrific clutch efficiency and perennial losing status with every team proves otherwise.

Even Kobe recognized this in 2008.
Kobe: "Things are no longer a “cakewalk” according to Bryant, who points out that his own 2008 Olympic squad had to sweat out its Gold Medal victory. The Black Mamba adds that global hoops competition will only become more fierce in the coming years, and that Team USA must “respect everybody.”
As always, Lebron's road is simply harder than MJ's road.

Who won MVP?
And didn't Barkley make MJ look like a role players in '92?

Any team with Lebron's ball-dominance will underperform and this includes the 08' Dream Team that had 12x the All-NBA players as their opponents, but barely won.
And Lebron's path was easier by putting the top 3 PER's in the league on 1 team, and hand-picking 6 straight preseason favorites, and having a sidekick outplayi the MVP, and having sidekicks make the Finals without him (Wade, Kyrie, Love)..
So Lebron is a complete joke and only dummies, kids and betas like him

Was Lebron on the 2008 team? Because that's why they underperformed.
Also, Jordan beat Magic and Shaq > anyone Lebron beat... And he didn't need a 3rd star like Bosh/Love, or a teammate to lead the scoring like AD
Jordan had a worse cast than every Finals opponent, while Lebron has a better cast, such as 3 franchise players to 1 for the 16' Warriors... 07' is the exception, but that's when Lebron became the first player to shoot 35% with 6 TO's in a series (the worst anyone ever played)
Lebron also had preseason favorite status for 6 straight years and a sidekick to outplay the MVP - this is unprecedented help

LeBron beat Curry who you rank ahead of both Magic & Shaq

They underperformed by winning Gold?

They had 12x the All-NBA talent as their opponents, but barely won - that's underachievement
And it's because the first high-scoring ball-dominators entered the league around 2000 (guys that averaged 25+ with low assisted rates/many unassisted buckets), and this permanently reduced the US brand of ball and chemistry, so we've been barely winning or even losing ever since

Kobe completely disagrees and explained that 92 Barcelona faced no competition, but by 2008, and entire generation of new worldwide talent had developed. In fact, everyone acknowledges this and disagrees with you.
You even admitted earlier that Barkley outplaying MJ in the olympics didnt matter because they didnt face any competition.

I didn't say that they didn't face competition - you made that up - they won by big margins because they were better basketball players that knew how to move the ball and have great chemistry - this contrasts with today's ball-dominators
And when you say "everyone", you mean the dumb media and fans that don't care to actually look into it like myself and other insightful people
