Default Just get rid of defensive 3 seconds, problem solved.

It's time to get rid of it in the NBA, it'd instantly boost defense by increasing rim protection AND making rotations shorter hence easier close outs on three point shooters.

The mid-range shot and post-up bigs would instantly become valuable again. The three ball would still be a factor just not to the absurd (and BORING) level it is currently.

It's more than that, but yes, that would solve about 70% of the issues in the NBA.

Then ban moving screens aka pushing people and that's 90%.

For the last 10% actually call carry once in a while.

Great idea and also cut down on the primary method of generating threes (drive-and-kick) by making driving harder with a return of hand-checking
