There was a time wealth distribution was more evenly distributed, that started under FDR's the New Deal and with the labor union movement, for about a 40 year period, the rich paid their fair share of taxes, jobs paid their workers fairly, houses were affordable, healthcare costs weren't insane, you could afford to send your kids to college and buy a car without getting up to your eyeballs in debt...hell, women could stay at home and raise their children.

Then Neoliberalism in the 80s under Reagan started rigging the system towards the elites. I'm not gonna get into it here but do your research, Google is not only for porn. Shit has gotten worse now, this is the richest nation in the history of earth, how is it that most Americans don't have any savings and they live from paycheck to paycheck? And it's a cop out to blame people living out of their means, that does happen but the for the vast majority, their earnings just isn't keeping up with the cost of living. Corporations are making people work harder and longer hours and paying them as little as they can get away with yet dumbasses are blaming illegals whom are worse off yet and have no real power.

It's the elites along with their puppets in Washington screwing us. Trump is part of the problem, he did nothing to help middle class families in his first term yet handed the rich the biggest tax break in US history adding trillions to our national debt and he and the GOP are at it again, and they have the gall to slash, Medicare and Medicaid, eyeball Social Security and spend even more of the budget on the military industrial complex.
