Most illegals from MX go to the US with the idea of returning back to MX someday, in fact, since the early 2000s there's been a net negative of Mexicans migrating to the US, in other words, more have returned than come to the US. This type of emotional manipulation isn't going to get us anywhere. When parents are arrested or detained for whatever reason and there is no legal guardian the child is taken into custody.

I would be willing to extend an olive branch to all the honest and hardworking illegals who snuck in out of desperation, so long as they haven't committed any crimes and have a history of honest work. I don't know how you go about doing that though. There's really no perfect system for that. I imagine it would require people to self report and I don't know if that's feasible. There probably isn't a way to stop certain people from falling through the cracks.

Then again you could also take the complete opposite stance. Laws are laws. Everyone that snuck in knew the risk when they came here. It's sad but unfortunately not everyone was born with a ticket to Disneyland. The people that are here already and are being removed are no more deserving than the ones on the outside who wish they could come in.

I've interacted with so many illegal immigrants in various mediums over the years and not a single one wasn't an honest person just trying to make a good life for themselves and their family. Nobody on the right was ever under the assumption that illegal = bad person, but the reality is the floodgates were open for too long and a lot of bad people slipped through.

Like I said it's unfortunate that good and honest people will be forced to leave, but are we supposed to lose sleep over it? Are we supposed to pretend to lose sleep over it? There are people suffering all across the globe. Do you lose sleep over them as well? If not how come?

The videos I'm referring too are from Americans who only experienced the American way of life per sé, when they move to Mexico, they notice the slower paced lifestyle, people walking around town, whole families chilling at the town square, simple things like that. They also say that Mexicans are really friendly, that they work hard and party harder. The food is more organic, less processed.

About safety, they mention that they can go about the town, even late at night and don't feel unsafe, that they felt the cities in the US where they are from more unsafe. Keep in mind, tourism in Mexico is a huge industry, the government knows it and so do the cartels, they don't mess with foreigners because the government will crack down on them because they don't want to scare off foreigners so being a foreigner in Mexico is really safe. Obviously from time to time you'll hear about a tourist being killed but with the millions of tourists that travel to Mexico, it's a tiny figure. Tourists are killed all over the world all the time, even in the US.

Mexico always places higher on world happiness index too...Gallup polls taken of how happy their citizens are in their respective countries.
