On a random note Myles Turner has been ass these last couple of games.
Shooting-wise perhaps but Turner had been in Chet's head quite a bit. Even if the numbers weren't there if you take one of the best players on the other team off his game then you've done well, which he had.
Chet stepped up though and with that OKC seemed to get their swag back. We'll see if it lasts but it looks good.

And one that will probably be forgotten about in time because they eventually lost, but Klay's Game 6 in OKC definitely deserves a mention.
I haven't forgotten that, because in an alternate reality Klay doesn't come through in the 4th quarter, OKC beats Warriors in six, they win the ring and the history of the league gets altered completely. KD wins a ring with OKC and his legacy (and Westbrook's, by the way) is seen 100% differently, he doesn't join Golden State so that dinasty doesn't happen, LBJ needs more seasons to win one for the 'land, etc. So many things could have been different it is frightening.

I like how you automatically assume they beat peak LeBron and the Cavs. I 100% favor the Cavs in that hypothetical matchup

I am a big LeBron fan, but that 2016 Cavs team was not that good to be honest. They had 36 years old Richard Jefferson starting, for example. They were also old. The only reason they won is a series of circumstances (Draymond's suspension, some injuries, etc.). The OKC of 2016 was a really, really good team and they were very focused, I think if they beat the Warriors they would have won the ring, because they would feel really confident also.

The OKC team had good defense and a fluke shooting series from their role players through 5 games.
They had atrocious spacing, Roberson is genuinely one of the worst offensive SGs in history. They were playing Dion Waiters heavy minutes.
Cavs had LeBron, Kyrie, and Love all healthy with home court advantage.
I take the Cavs, you know, the team that actually did win the title that season.

Re: Thunder vs. Pacers NBA Finals Game Thread
I just rewatched the last 7 minutes of the game and it's some of the best defense I've ever watched from OKC. The level of intensity and discipline was just crazy. Pretty cool to see a team win a game almost solely off defense in 2025. They made 3 three pointers and 10 assists for the entire game which doesn't sound real

That's how it was in 2020 for the Lakers. Lowest Finals ratings in history. Almost half the viewership of the Pacers/Thunder series so far. The only thing people care about from the 2020 Finals is making sure people know it was an asterisks year and if COVID didn't happen the Lakers would've never won it.

The most likely scenario is that SGA sons Lebron and Lebron pulls one of his many epic choke jobs.

lol, Cavs were a lot more trustable than OKC, had a better best and better 2nd best player.

Re: Thunder vs. Pacers NBA Finals Game Thread
Saw the highlights, comments mention the refs everywhere. Can trusted ISH posters confirm if theres anything to it? It did seem weird when it looked like Indy was winning and then it cut to a 2 pt game again, so prob some FT binges inbetween that for OKC.
SGA 10 FTs again looks murky.
