Default The Secret History of Fake Muscles in Superhero Movies

Did you know Henry Cavill wore muscle padding under his Superman outfit? He was in great physical shape and still needed padding. Which is the norm in today's superhero movies. The only exception was The Rock as Black Adam. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool had basically not fake muscle padding...

Cavill also appeared shirtless early on in Man of Steel.

I would say part of that outfit was for protection during stunts.

The video explains that spandex actually flattens out muscle definition on men. So fake muscles are still needed even on dudes with muscle.

The only true exception I saw in the vid was Rock as Black Adam. I don't really feel like Deadpool counts, even though he is ripped in the comics, I don't think people really think of Deadpool as ripped. More like slender ninja type.

The Cavill thing surprised me. I knew he was in great shape and I always just figured him in the suit was 90% natural. If I had to some the abs needed more definitely that most and his legs needed to probably be bigger.
