The small business owners won't be able to compete with the "lower priced" groceries at Mamdani's government owned supermarkets so they will be forced to close shop. Meanwhile the government owned program will continue to expand out of necessity. Now all the grocery providers in the city are owned by the government. You're no longer a valued customer. You're just a number. Expect rationing, expect less variety of choices, except poorer quality groceries and goods.

And guess what happens when the program goes over budget. That's right, more taxes.
