A few weeks back, I watched a podcast where Carmelo claimed that all stars Karl coached hate and are more or less done with him. Even Gary Payton. I know GP and Karl bumped heads early on, but I also remember them progressively developing a cordial relationship. Not sure what Carmelo is talking about or maybe he's just making stuff up

I’m surprised none of these coaches have started a YouTube channel yet.

I mean George if you wanna be relevant start creating content on YouTube.

    It’s not rocket science. Lmao.

Like a paywalled article is gonna get you in with the IN CROWD?

    LMAO

Hard critiques of how a guy plays are one thing. Saying Melo didn't play hard enough on D, should have passed more, should have been in better shape are all fair game, especially for his coach. Where Karl crossed the line is when he said stuff like Melo and Martin didn't have dads around and never learned how to be men. Something like that may or may not be true (lots of people grow up without one of their parents and still grow up to be responsible adults) but even if it is completely true he has to realize how insulting and personal that is for the guy he's talking about. Throw in an old school strategy that wouldn't work in the modern 3-heavy era and why would any team bring him in?

Karl thinks he's really important. (He's not)

I wanna see coaches on YouTube platforms telling it like it is just like these former players.

I mean where are the coach channels?

Coaches spilling the beans on stars would be grade A content.

Come on Karl be that guy.

Controversy can be entertaining but he wants a role in coaching. Saying the things he's said about not just players but also front offices that he's worked for "youtube" would be all he can get now.

Yeah that's pretty wild. When you start making it personal by bringing up dudes families...good luck keeping a locker room. Dont think Karl apologized or ever attempted to make that right. At the same time, I also think Melo and guys like Kenyon are trying to push a narrative. They mentioned GP not liking Karl either, but I really couldn't find anything on that. At least nothing they haven't already squashed.

Yes, they're attacking his character. Unlike him they aren't trying to rehab their images to try and resume a coaching career, they have business interests beyond the game and songs that are pursuing careers that seem to be going well so this little spiteful vendetta isn't really hurting them.

I mean, we all get that. I'm just curious to what alleged beef Payton has with Karl. If any
