Default Embiid has thoughts on your criticism of his playoff career.

    He continues

His thoughts drift back to the playoffs, irritated: "You're basically saying that he's playing harder in the regular season than he's playing in the playoffs, which doesn't make sense because if you look at the minutes, the minutes rise. And you're playing harder. And you do more on both ends of the floor."
He takes a detour into his postseason plus/minus numbers, which measure up with the greats of the game, then chides himself for sounding like his trainer and confidant, Drew Hanlen, who 13 minutes into a phone call sent me a link to Embiid's playoff stats.
"You want one more?" I ask.
"Yeah, I want it," he says.
Joel is talented but doesn't have the extra intangible stuff it takes to lead.
"No one is a winner until they've done it. I'm fine with that narrative because I haven't done it. Charles Barkley, great player, right? But he never won. [Allen Iverson] never won. ... But that doesn't mean they weren't great. They were amazing.

That and many many more takes in this rather extensive interview. Apparently he and Harden don’t speak anymore and he’s upset about that because he thinks Harden thinks he’s responsible for him not being in Philly anymore. A lot of…that.

He’s in the legacy shaping part of his career and he admits that he does care what people think about that. Looks like he’s gonna be campaigning for respect for the foreseeable future.

No one will care or even remember who he is in a couple of years.

    Rich man’s Greg Oden

Tbf is anyone just gonna flat out admit they underperform/choke in the playoffs? Of course he's going to be in denial about that and refuse to admit it

But he has a long enough track record now where it's factually indisputable his performance falls off a cliff from the regular season to the playoffs, he's 31 and doesn't have a single notable playoff moment or performance to his name.

Hes the Derrick Rose/ Penny Hardaway of this generation. He's the greatest what if in the history of basketball. If he was healthy, he probably would of went down top 10 of all time next to shaq and hakeem

I dont think he ever had 1 healthy post season besides the bubble when Ben Simmons went down. Shame

That's the issue right there. For a lot of those years their hopes rested on Embiid's health and they were waiting for Simmons to take that next step and it just never came together. 2020 is the year they should've made a run because he was finally healthy for a run, but Simmons wasn't there so they had no chance with that roster.

The Nets series ok... but hes shit the bed outside that and even when his team was loaded. The 2019 Sixers were 1 lucky shot away from winning with him playing like doodoo. If he plays even average they win. And probably ring.

    People have already forgotten.

I don't care what Joel Embiid has to say about this or anything else for that matter. Weak ass mental midget choking bitch. It's a crime he shoehorned himself into the Dream Team to get a gold medal.

He might just have better postseasons if he didn't do as much in the regular season but that's something that every superstar has to deal with unless he's taking an indirect shot at Jimmy Butler, which would be a stretch to assume. He should be savvy enough to realize that this just sounds like whining and no one's going to care...but if he has to whine about how unfair his playoff career has been I would appreciate it if next time he dedicates some complaining to having to face the Celtics so many times. If he does that I promise to pretend that his issues have validity.
