I don’t think this will make me watch baseball as a whole again. And I’m probably missing out on legendary players (Ohtani) but this was the best WS I’ve watched since Twins/Braves. RIP Kirby Puckett what a legend.

Weird. But then again people picked each team based on rappers. So there’s also that. Yikes

It's personally the best World series I've seen. 2001, 2011, 2016, & 2017 come to mind, but I don't think they had the amount of iconic moments as this world series, 2001 is up there though.

Going through history. It seems like 1975 was probably the best, with 1991 right behind it.

Blue Jays had a 92% win probability at the top of the 9th.

    What a choke.

Yeah man, other skin colors and nations dont care about their skin color, religion and ideology at all....

yet studies say non-whites care much more about skin color and identify themselves more through their skin color than whites

    nice fail

It's hypocritical. Right or wrong, all fans of every race to some degree factor in race and country when watching sports. Why do you think the Olympics are a thing?

I've seen highwhey root for Mexicans in boxing/UFC fights. I do it too.

I think people bringing stuff like this up are just upset because they were rooting against the Dodgers.

In all seriousness. Blue Jays have nothing to be ashamed of, yes they choked, but nobody even had them making the playoffs when the season started. They were supposed to be one of the worst teams in the American League.

I think it was Stephen A. Smith who took a lot of heat in real time for suggesting that Ohtani would have a tough time succeeding as the face of baseball because he wasn't an american and doesn't speak english. Turns out he was 100% right. By all accounts he should be the biggest star in sports right now, or at least in a similar spot to Patrick Mahomes. But we all know he isn't.

I don't just think it's because baseball is less popular because there's a proven track record of transcendent athletes from lesser known sports becoming huge stars. Basketball wasn't AS popular before Magic/Bird/MJ. Golf wasn't AS popular before Tiger. No one gave a fukk about women's basketball but they cared about Caitlyn Clark. No one gave a fukk about swimming but they cared about Michael Phelps. Meanwhile we have maybe the best baseball player of all time and he's nowhere close to being in any of those conversations.

Half the enjoyment from sports is the story. We appreciate greatness but more than anything we want a good story. We need someone we can relate to. Ohtani is an amazing player but we don't relate to him.

eh it was a good series. some crazy long games and some epic plays from the king vladdy jr.

proud of the squad. we had a hell of a team this year. cant get closer to winning a world series than the performance the boys put up. they played well.
