    7/10

This was enjoyable. Especially the action sequences. This was just a notch under Prey for it being good. The main drawback for me personally was the character of Thia. She was largely just annoying the whole movie and her character took away from the story for me. I think if they made her less comical it would've settled better with me. The Predator design of Dek was largely not a problem for me once you get into the movie with the CGI face, but maybe they cleaned it up a bit between the first trailer and the movie. I don't know if that's true, but it was overall okay.

Him being young and being the runt of the clan explains his smaller stature and different look, but it doesn't take away from his bad-ass-ry and determination to prove himself. The rhino kill was so badass. Go see it.

    Limitless is a great movie.

Been awhile since I had seen it... Solid 9.5/10 movie.

    The Ninth Gate

A Polanski sadly but a decent movie.

Its stylish and atmospheric. I love this kind of ambience and the pretty streets, alleyways and apartmentt buildings and houses, and trains and outfits worn. A pretty world is being depicted.

I like that they referenced real books/authors throughout this movie, with the exception of the main one, the Nine Gates, of course.
Although im confused as to how this webpage exists:
    https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...dom-of-shadows

It gets a little bit silly at the end. Some holes and just absurd then.
They could have simply trapped them at the Hotel for the book when they saw liana and her guard, no Guardians surrounding the party/anniversary of the author, the albino guard/satanist way of guarding/guiding them downstairs to kill them was a joke, and how that whole party was just shy old ass people who were scared as **** killed the whole intrigue of the party and made the thing seem like a joke. Also when Depp said "you know what I want" to her question "what more do you want" it actually wasnt obvious at all. The whole thing indeed seemed over/done, especially had he handed the book to Balkan. I wasnt even sure what he was after at the end, only the last shot made it clear. But it didnt really add up.

Seigner does look eerie and spooky as "The Girl", the devil / princess of darkness. I knew it early on but I liked her glooming presence over this movie.

the movie isnt horror really. Its tame as far as that goes. Couple chills in it.

It was decent entertainment. I wouldnt watch again unless with a girl, probably.

    7.2/10
    I like the concept.

The cover I chose better depicts the movie to this:
    https://play-lh.googleusercontent.co...jIJTcgdIACQ1v1
this one seems more dark, occult and graveyard ish, the top one seems more secretive and library-y..

If they can bring back Ben Affleck for a solo project, I'd support that mission.

I don't like the DCU.... I look at The Batman with Robert Pattinson as the 4th Batman film in the franchise, although Superman v Batman was solid and had some good moments.

All the DC has is Batman, and only Batman. Superman is a very distant 2nd.

I don't know why Tyrone is such a big fan of the Snyderverse.... but to each their own.

Spiderman 4, Doomsday (w/ Secret Wars), and The Batman 2 are going to be some epic superhero movies on the horizon.

House of dynamite. Trash. Maybe something good when you’re bored and want to stare at something. 3/10. The best part are the previews which gets you anticipating something really good.

Highest to lowest is probably Denzel worst movie I ever sat and watched. Not his fault because this is a Spike Lee joint. Tough watch for a movie with outstanding actors like Jeffrey Wright. 2/10

Holy shit Doom you have the worst taste in movies. BVS was 'solid'?

I don't understand you. You claim to hate hollywood because it's evil jewish propaganda, but you love all the retarded slop it churns out.

Honestly I think that might have been the worst movie I've ever seen in a movie theater. Not even exaggerating. There's a reason WB gave Snyder the boot. His movies were fukking retarded.

That movie was so bad, so weird, so boring, so pretentious and so mind-numbly stupid it actually offended me.

I've already had this discussion multiple times....

Yes, I understand most people did not like BvS... there are multiple things I did not like about it, Especially Social Network Lex Luthor.... but it was an entertaining movie.

I suppose you could say the same thing about the Fast & Furious movies... they can serve as dumbed down entertainment, but still entertaining as stupid as they are.

I realize I'm in the minority when it comes to super hero movies in general... I tend to like most of them.

If I were to give a thumbs up or thumbs down on every super hero movie ever made... 60% to 70% of them would probably be thumbs up imo.

I thought Freddy vs Jason was a terrible movie... but the fact that Freddy fought Jason on the big screen still served as enjoyable corny entertainment.

Some people really liked Ben Affleck as Batman... and I thought he did a good job in that movie, Justice League however was a piece of trash.

    6.5/10

Based off a true story with some details changed. He actually did rob 45 different McDonald's and escaped from prison (attempted to escape two more times later) and after escaping the first time he lived inside a Circuit City (in the movie it's a Toys R Us) for about six months to lay low until he was caught because he fell in love with one of the workers there. Interesting to see to what ends a man will go to to try to save his family and find happiness, but his choices caught up to him. Sad ending.

Fun fact, Channing Tatum actually interviewed the man he plays while he was in prison to understand how to portray him in the movie.

All power to you. You seem like a real easy going guy.

I don't expect high drama when watching a superhero movie but I do expect to feel "something". There is room for movies that are dumb fun, but at least be self aware. Today's movies aren't dumb fun, they're just dumb. In fact not only they are they dumb, they're totally unaware that they're dumb. Either the movie is way too pretentious and sincere or it's self referential and satiric bordering on comedic parody. Very few of them really strike that perfect balance, and even less of them have something to say. And that's why I call them dumb, because wtf is the point of a movie if you're not even saying anything? Just mindless plot and action beats?

I'm the complete opposite of you. If you took every single movie the supehero genre has ever produced across all time, I would say that maybe 10-15% of them at best were good. For the most part I think the genre has been pretty trash. Like how many of those movies could you recommend to someone who's not really a fan of superhero movies? Hardly any. There are really only a few. I don't love westerns but I like Tombstone, because it's just a good movie.
