Default Nuggets handing out a showtimeesque ass beating.

I see they’re up 24-3 on the Jazz similar to the famous 24-0 lead the Lakers once got out to vs the Kings when Chick Hearn called game in the first quarter.

How you get a deficit like that in today’s game I can’t say but…there you go.

But the way teams go on runs these days….

    They might lose by 2.

I thought the Lakers had a 29-0 lead?

How does that happen twice? Are they playing too much of what Kobe would call accidental basketball?

After a 15 to nothing run, do they not just give someone the ball and let him create a comfortable shot? Lauri could do that on the bulls. Do they not have set plays to get a predictable consistent result?

Or is it just ****ing around drive and kick bastardized motion offense without sets?

you won’t be shocked to learn I don’t watch jazz games at this point.

Worst d in the league. Continuing to shoot 3s when they arent falling. Two of the best teams in league on the road. An awful coach. Tanking. Too many guys that shouldnt be starting, playing, in the league...

I think the Bron Cavs back in 2009 or 2010 led a game by 24-0 or something.

Is there a stat for this?

Highest unanswered leads to start a game?

the New York Knicks' 23-0 start against the Utah Jazz on December 5, 2025, set an NBA record for the largest lead to open a game since the league began keeping detailed play-by-play statistics in the 1996-97 season.
The previous overall NBA record for the most consecutive points to start a game was 29-0, set by the Los Angeles Lakers against the Sacramento Kings on February 4, 1987. However, that record occurred before the NBA's detailed play-by-play era used for modern statistical comparisons.

    That makes ZERO sense lmao.

Either it wasnt the previous record because they dont count for pre 1996/1997 games or its still the record.

Too lazy to look it up, but does anyone know the longest in-game run ever? Not just to start a game.

The Mavs had a 30-0 run against the Thunder a couple years ago. That's the current record. Funny thing is, OKC still won that game.

Pace and the randomness of 3PT shooting from night to night. Jazz didn't get killed on the boards, they didn't have too many turnovers, but one team made 14 threes and the other made 24. Can't expect a young inexperienced team to make the right plays, it has to be overwhelming to get killed from 3 like that, how are you going to get back into the game on 2s unless you're getting stops? Jazz aren't built to be good defensively right now.

These records only go back to the '97 season.

    You don't say.

    This guy....

So that makes it the current record then, doesn't it.

Lauri is not that good. His numbers are inflated. He's really a solid 3rd option on a true contender like Love was.
