The only thing Irving has on wall is shooting. Wall is more athletic, a better defender, better at getting to the rim, and has better court vision
Irving is much easier to build around. He really has no major holes in his game. One of the best shooters in the league, underrated slasher, better ball-handler, and a much better clutch player. Irving single-handedly willed Cleveland to wins in some 4th quarters (Boston, Denver, Sacramento). And he was working with less talent than Wall. His best pick n roll parter (Varejao) got injured early in the season. And he was splitting time with ramon Sessions for awhile. And he still won ROY. Thats impressive

He played bad d, for sure. But you think Sessions is going to rot on the bench when Cleveland is trying to move him at the deadline? There is a reason they got a 1st round pick for him at the deadline. He could be starting for another team, Cleveland couldn't just give him 15 mpg no matter what.
With Wall, all you ever hear is about his athelticism or potential. When the guy still isn't a great finisher, can't shoot, and has questionable bball IQ. I have my doubts he can ever be the best player on a high-seeded playoff team. And he still played with more talent than Irving did in Cleveland. Alonzo Gee, Ryan Hollins, Anthony Parker, etc. Not that easy to generate points with that offense. Wall has no excuses now though. Nene, Beal, Ariza, etc. Thats plenty to get in the playoffs in the east.

This is false.
He was splitting time because Byron Scott wanted him to be acclimated to the NBA game. Please understand that Irving just came off a freshman year where he played 11 games where he has rest in-between those games. He didn't want Irving to get a major injury or get gassed by suddenly starting and playing 36 a game in a compressed scheduled...I think it's safe to say we saw a ton of players fall with injury because of that.
If you watch and track his minutes he ends up getting more minutes in the second half of the season because he Scott felt Irving was getting better conditioned for the NBA game. Before the all-star game I believe Irving was averaging about 25 minutes per game..

Very good NBA starter

im not sure i agree with this
i remember hearing coach scott say that irving would have to earn his minutes, meaning the reason he wasnt gettin more minutes wasnt, as you say, to get acclimated, or avoiding injury, etc., it was because his play didnt merit any more minutes than he was getting
