LeBron only managed to not get swept for a 4th time in his career. Nice.

I don't get the sense that Darvin Ham has the right stuff.
The Nuggets would have won anyway and played exceptional, but you still have to wonder about the quality of Laker's coaching.
LeBron is 39 years old, the oldest player in the game. Minutes? 44. The most of any Laker. Preposterous. Sure LeBron is the best player on his team; but so is Jokic and despite being 29 years old, played 40 minutes. Given breathers.
Judgment is crucial in a coach. It doesn't matter if you were a player in the past; being a coach requires more strategic intelligence. Ham couldn't even call timeouts when he knew his players were winded; being older, that needs to be managed better both for James and Davis. Even the TV commentators could call that out.
Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your personnel is important to a coach; and then coaching them accordingly. At this stage in his career, LeBron needs to be coached differently. Players always want to play; it's up to the coaches to rest them to get the most out of them. Ham seems more of an observer than a coach.

Very good NBA starter
Re: (2) Nuggets vs. (7) Lakers First Round Playoff Series Thread
Minutes throughout the series were almost identical, but sure it's different for someone who is nearing 40. On the other hand, which coach had authority over LeBron? Who was the last coach when you had the feeling that he is free to coach? It's in the selection process and it's a trend.

"Lakers finish to season has left coach Darvin Ham’s future in serious peril, as some stakeholders indicate he is highly unlikely to return, sources say." - Shams
This could have been an insanely good series if the Lakers had an experienced coach (tbf Ham wasn't absolute dog shit like in most of the regular season) and Vando + Wood in the rotation for rebounding, defending and shooting (Wood). Wouldn't have had to see Rui struggle so much etc.

I wouldn't call a 4-1 series loss pushing someone to the limit.

For the series Murray had a TS of 47%, while taking the most shots on the team by far, yet they still won in 5. That is what happens when the defending champs play a 7 seed.
