Good college starter
Bigger failure? KD w/o Curry or Jordan w/o Pippen
Who was the bigger failure?
MJ had 1-9
KD had a Finals run at least sheesh

KD was lottery < 1-9
And from their 3rd healthy seasons onwards, Jordan wins easily and has the goat career

* In 1988, Pippen's horrific play cost the Bulls the title, including 8 ppg in the regular season and against the Bad Boys, so MJ would've easily won with the "Bad Boy killer" FMVP Worthy, or any number of guys ranked below Pippen all-time.
* In 1989, Pippen averaged 14 ppg and 3 assists, including 9 on 40% in the ECF, so basically anyone in his place would've allowed the Bulls to win.
* In 1990, Pippen had lower stats than Mo Williams across the board, while also choking in the ECF to cost the Bulls a 7-game victory against a dynasty, while 09' Lebron in lost in 6 games as the massive favorite to a 1-star team.
In 1990, the Bulls had the #19 defense (#3 for the 09' Cavs), while Pippen was worse offensively than Mo Williams across the board (PER, BPM, VORP, WS/48, scoring, efficiency) - this matters because it means Lebron had a better team on both sides of the ball, yet Jordan still beat him to titles - Jordan won the next year in 91', while Lebron still couldn't win in 2010 after adding Jamison/Shaq to a 1 seed.

1991 finals pippen > 2000 finals kobe

The 2000 Pacers didn't have 4 guys averaging 17 ppg or more in the Finals like the 91' Lakers did, so Pippen's 20 ppg was below-par because he didn't have to share the load with other scorers at 3rd or 4th option like Worthy did on those Lakers..
Yet a hobbled Worthy still did whatever he wanted to Pippen because that's what Worthy always did to Pippen - Pippen was barbeque chicken to anyone decent and the record shows this - he never locked anyone down as the primary defender - everyone got theirs on Pippen
And 91' Pippen was his best playoffs yet it doesn't compare to Kobe's best playoffs as 2nd option or 1st... Pippen's best playoffs or series doesn't even compare to Klay's... lol... Pippen is in the lower tier of winning sidekicks that never achieved elite 1st option stats (Klay, Pippen, Rip Hamilton, Terry, Pau, Siakam) - these guys are several tiers below the winning sidekicks that won FMVP or achieved elite 1st option stats like Kobe, Curry, Worthy, Wade, AD, Iggy, Dumars, Parker, Kyrie, etc.
