Absolute horseshit. If we're being honest, both have top 5 ATG resumes but not enough wins on the big stage to be ahead of MJ. Difference is that Lebron is an active player, so he'll have more people riding for him with the media machine still promoting him as the next GOAT as well. This was the case with Kobe in 2010 but once he had injuries & declined, the media went the other way and started bashing every bad moment in his career to prop up Lebron as the next guy. Give it a year or two and you'll see the same start happening with Lebron.

Neither are in the GOAT debate in a few years. Though Lebron could remain in the debate due to his absurd longevity the same way Kareem is. But MJ is fairly comfortably the best to ever do it. And quite frankly that is a more meaningful title than GOAT. Longevity and "resumes" don't play into it too much for me.

I wouldn't say the two are that far apart but I'd agree that Lebron's been the better player. Those who say the opposite are often approaching it from an emotional POV.

Depends if they're being judged by their career. But if that's out of the equation, then kong is a better player by a considerable margin because he is bigger, more versatile and can play or guard any position decently.

I'd argue peak Kawhi is right there with peak Kobe and I'd almost take Kawhi to start a team if I had the guarantee of good health (which I never would)..

Think about what Kawhi did on that 2019 run - destroyed goat Giannis and goat threesome Curry/Klay/Dray... no suspsension needed.. no comeback needed.. no equal-scoring partner needed (defeated max defensive attention)

Kobe's peak was just a lot longer - 2000-2010
