That amazing hitting ability passing from his HoF dad.
And Blue Jays have also had 2 other 2nd generation ballers who are also playing well. Bo Bichette has hit well even he can't fully run the bases yet. Daulton Varsho also had some great hits and stationed the outfield well.

Re: MLB season 2025
Yamamoto is the best Dodgers pitcher so far and he will start on game 6 this Friday against Kevin Gausman again. He had 2 complete game wins in a row entering.
And Shohei will go off again sooner or later.
Jays's home field advantage is still there but don't count Dodgers out yet.

His pops was my second favorite player outside Barry. He was a beast. Had a cannon arm.

Re: MLB season 2025
Blue Jays are just playing better team ball. If not for a complete Shohei nutjob performance in game 3 then this series might already be over.
They are doing the little things far better. Defense, baserunning, situational hitting, just altogether putting up better at bats. In the 7th where the Jays put it away last night I think the Dodgers had 3 either pass balls or wild pitches that allowed runners to advance. Literally could have been the difference in the game and it's hard to see the Jays making those mistakes right now.
Momentum could go right back to LA with Yamamoto on the mound but it seems like Toronto is just the better team right now.
