Re: If Clippers blew it up, is there anyone you would even want?
Law Murray: Statement provided to @TheAthletic from the LA Clippers: We are parting ways with Chris and he will no longer be with the team. We will work with him on the next step of his career. Chris is a legendary Clipper who has had a historic career. I want to make one thing very clear. No one is blaming Chris for our underperformance. I accept responsibility for the record we have right now. There are a lot of reasons why we’ve struggled. We’re grateful for the impact Chris has made on the franchise.

Tim Bontemps: Some sources have indicated that the Clippers could try to move up their free agency timeline from the 2027 offseason to next summer, which would require finding trade partners with cap room to take on James Harden ($42 million player option for 2026-27) and Leonard (owed $50 million in 2026-27). The feedback from league insiders has been that, while a team would take on Harden, it may be more difficult to find a landing spot for Leonard because of his injury and the Aspiration case still ongoing. "James has maybe neutral value," an East scout said. "Kawhi Leonard has negative value."

Full Court continues to bleed hard over his severe period as seen in the OTC Lounge
Probably zubac and collins. At least they're not that old yet.

Dunn absolutely defend his ass off at times and has shot about 36% from three over the last three years. You don’t need to be a sniper for teens to want you. I don’t think there’s a team in the entire NBA they wouldn’t take him and he’s one of the lesser players you mentioned.
The way people talk you would think the NBA only had 100 people in it. It doesn’t matter what people doing imaginary team building on the Internet think about somebody like Harden. He’s always gonna have a spot. Same with just about all of those guys.
If my team was limited to people I want on it there would rarely be more than five people on the bulls.
I wouldn’t want to build my entire franchise around any of them with the expectation of winning a championship next year, but that isn’t the way it works in the real world.

The Athletic’s Law Murray: Derrick Jones is a 2027 free agent. Kawhi, 2027. James can be a free agent in 2026. There's a bunch of team options. Nico Batum, Brook Lopez, Bogdan Bogdanovic… John Collins is on an expiring. Bradley Beal has a player option, but also has a hip injury that is, as far as I'm concerned, career altering.

Maybe the context of my original question was unclear, so I'll try again
What players can they trade that helps them turn things around? IMO, I think Dunn gets you a 2nd, possibly 2 for a really desperate team and an expiring contract. No chance you can trade him for a player in a rookie contract with significant upside. Same for DJJ, a 2nd or possibly 2 for desperate team.
Zubac might have the highest value for an exchange perspective of what you could turn him into.
Collins as an expiring might be a couple 2nds at best and another expiring.
Harden might net a 1st for an expiring contract of an overpaid bad player (IE: a Rozier plus filler and a 1st might get you there), but will not net you a younger all-star (IE: Harden for Sabonis).
Kawhi is extremely volatile and has a negative value. Bogi due to his injury history is also probably a negative.
Batum, Lopez, and others on the roster can only be traded for an underachieving player on a rookie salary or a 2nd at best.
