the dumb part is Jordan has a great case for goat, but ppl decide to just troll instead. Highest playoff +/-, highest playoff per, highest playoff ppg, 6fmvp, 10 scoring titles, 5 reg season mvp’s, dpoy and countless all nba 1st team and def 1st team selections. That’s a goat resume.

This is my opinion but it's probably among the more substance-based GOAT rankings that you will see anywhere.

Given similar talent, certain player types are superior to others - history shows that the best expert jumpshooters and centers had better teammate fits, development, and chemistry, so they needed less help to win and had higher team ceilings/Finals records than the best ball-dominators.

So the best expert jumpshooters > the best centers > the best ball-dominators (based on who won with less)..

So it's MJ, Kobe, Bird, Curry, Russell, Wilt, KAJ, Duncan, Shaq, Magic, Lebron... KD could leapfrog a bunch of people to #5 with a couple more FMVP's

Regardless of whether you agree with my rationale, 20 years of longevity confirmed that Lebron can't have a dynasty, 3-peat or 6 chips with ANY LINEUP, aka objectively inferior to MJ
