Absolutely retarded
No one cares about Lebron making a 3rd team all-nba but then being hurt come playoff time. He keeps getting hurt every damn year and isn't close to healthy when the playoffs start.
All you guys frankly have low ass standards for Lebron nowadays.

Low ass standards? He's FORTY years old, the fact he's still this good at his age after logging 70,000 minutes is insane. What is your honest expectation here, that he should still be MVP caliber?
I honestly don't even remember him being injured in last years playoffs. If he was, averaging 28/8/9 on 64%TS as an injured 39 year old is a GOAT tier accomplishment.
Just being honest, I don't think you've thought this argument through, it seems to be emotionally based off him leaving a game early.

It's since been reported that JJ said ge is fine while you're reporting that he's injured and only 70%.
Who should we believe?

No, a guy does not need to retire just because he's no longer in the MVP conversation.
You can't only go by the basic stats. What is his plus minus?

NBA sixth man of the year
Re: Lebron needs to retire next year
He won't because he's still an All NBA level player, but OP isn't wrong about how injury prone LeBron has been as a Laker. This is his 7th season with them and only 2 of those seasons actually featured a healthy LeBron - 2020 and 2024. Every other season he missed a lot of games and was never remotely healthy going into the playoffs.
This was never a game for old dudes logging heavy minutes.

Please clap.

Wow, what an incredibly intelligent post.

Re: Lebron needs to retire next year
His actual value for the Lakers is better than its been in years.
With Luka and Reaves taking over, he does a lot more small stuff that matters, rebounding and even playing defense. This is the best defensive season I've seen since 2015.
I think he should stick around as long as he can score 20ppg on good efficiency.

Whatever happens this year, he should tell everyone in the offseason that next year will be his last so the Lakers can properly account for that.
Lebron's been out of his prime for years, but he's getting close to being truly washed with all of the nagging ankle, foot, back, and goin injuries.
He's 40 years old man, he's never going to be 100% again, BUT he's way better than anyone's been at this point in their careers so why should he retire when he's still All-NBA? He wants to get 5 rings like Kobe or possibly 6 like MJ so he could have a strong case for GOAT.
