I think he is going to be a better version of Andre Kirilenko. Aka AK 47.

Nah. Kirilenko was a legit 6'9" barefoot, had a 7'6" wingspan (229 cm according to CSKA Moscow measurements), and a standing reach in the 9'2" to 9'4" range. Cooper is 6'7.75" barefoot, with a 7'0" wingspan, and 8'10.5" standing reach. AK47 had legit PF/C reach & span; he's in-line with AD, Jaren Jackson, Giannis, Dwight, etc.

Flagg's size is more similar to Josh Smith, LeBron, Tatum, Pippen, Paul George, Aaron Gordon, etc. Modern-day PF/SF, F, SF/PF, Combo FWD. Whatever you want to call it.

I just saw the highlights. He looks more fluid and nba ready than I was expecting. Frankly looked more comfortable in his pro debut than he did at any point in college to me.

Louie he remind me of Grant Hill. I think Hill and Flagg both gonna serve that bum MJ if they played on the court.

Some people look better with better teammates. Good team players are sometimes like that. A lot of times the more Individual(Not necessarily selfish) game guys appeared to dominating college because they’re playing people who can’t deal with them one on one.

A good team player who knows when to pass the ball and what to do after they pass because the guy they passed it to is intelligent and competent enough to make the next decision himself? You get two or three of those guys on one team and they flourish. But it’s hard to find groups like that in high-end college ball these days because everyone’s from AAU ball and there to make NIL money.

Some guys make a team better by making it play more like a team. Some guys make a team better by individual dominance.

Then there guys who can do a bit of both. He might be that. The first example that comes to mine is Grant Hill on the Pistons. He could score 25 or 30 a game or he could score 20 while playing over 40 minutes. Just as comfortable doing both. You give them good teammates they don’t have to force the issue to make the team function properly.

At his size range, I think Grant Hill but you’ve also got guys like Joe Dumars and penny if we are leaning more towards the guard skill types. The tweener forward guys are like Larry Bird, Kevin Garnett, or even Lamar Odom.

The bottom end is like Boris Diaw. Never a star and seems wasted on a team full of knuckleheads, but you drop them on a team of other competent people and he makes competent players look good and good players look great.

If he’s anywhere from the top to the bottom of that type of player, it’s perfect to pair with a combo like Davis and Kyrie, while he grows into being more of a scorer himself

I think Coop is going to be a star.

His game basically looks like it did in college, no change, just stepping into the NBA at 18. That's a good thing. Also, he still reminds me mostly of a more athletic Franz Wagner with better defense. Should be an All-Star in his second season, probably won't get enough minutes in his rookie season for it.

He is going to be an absolute superstar, congrats white America, it's been a while.

Unless Mavs don't let him shine, which is possible.

BINGO!! His two way positional versatility, athletic ability, and body type reminds me of G Hill at this point of time. When Kidd said he was gonna play Flagg at PG some, that got my ATTENTION for sure. I FIGURED he had elements of guys like AK-47, Marion, and Tatum in his game going off his college tape shit. BUT once saw Kidd roll out this lineup, my mindset WHEN to a G Hill or Pip style of player:

    PG Flagg
    SG Klay
    SF PJ
    PF AD
    C Lively

So Kidd put Flagg at PG FLAT OUT! He didn't start him at point forward with a PG on the court with him. Once Kyrie comes back OR if they choose to put D Lo in the starting lineup before Kyrie comes back, I assume he would be back at point forward. BUT looking at his OVERALL TOOL BOX,he's more in the Pip-G Hill lane. IF he can prove to be an alpha dog scorer WITH triple double ability, that's Hill's Lane FOR SURE! If he doesn't pan out to be an alpha dog level scorer, that would equate him to Pip. IN EITHER CASE, I think the comp with AK-47, Marion, and even Tatum is OUTTA the picture! He's more G Hill or Pip in my book! Hill and Pip could play OR defend PG, SG, SF, or PF. Flagg is of that cloth.

G Hill and Pip could have been supersized PG's FLAT OUT! But they are so athletic and dynamic in the open court that you want them finishing plays! And don't get locked ALL THE WAY INTO facilitating the offense. So having a PG on the floor WITH THEM gives a team the best of both worlds. I see that same type of shit in Coop! Perk said he sees Bron in Coop's game as well. Which is TRUE to an extent. But his body type more similar to Hill and Pip.

So not as good as Cade, ever, and he looks like he will end up as a spot-up shooter, pick-n-pop and/or post player type of guy - that's how his body moves.. should still be a nice player
