Re: Wemby, the most talented basketball player ever? Thinking Basketball
My cousins grandfather told us yesterday that Wemby is the best player he saw since Wilt. Hes 89 years old. He remembers wilt. He’s got stage 4 cancer and doesn’t have long but he still watches basketball when he can. He never saw him before now. He’d only heard of him. But someone put a game on and that was his conclusion.
Hes old but he’s still all there. Says young Wilt is the only other thing he’s seen like that. I don’t know if he meant relative to the other players or what. We didn’t get far into it we were there to give him a haircut. He’s been a barber for 70 years and doesn’t care if he’s sick. He’s gotta have a haircut.
I might see if he wants to talk about it a bit more next time I see him.

Never would have compared him to Wilt until you said it and I see why. He towers over everyone and the defense.
I'm not sure how fast Wemby is in comparison to how faster Wilt was then everyone else.

Will he ever stay on the floor?
Shams Charania: San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has a left calf strain and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks, sources tell ESPN.

Ever since getting drafted this has always been the question. So far I still give him a pass becuase the time he missed last year had nothing to do with this frame or height. Could've happened to anyone.

I think those blood clots actually are more prevalent in really tall people, though it’s just some random piece of information in my memory I don’t remember a source for. May be bullshit

I didn't think so before but I'm coming around on it... There are few players in history that come along and show you something you've never seen almost every night.. And that's what I see from him regularly
