It's inconclusive. Period.
Tie always goes to the runner.

Looks pretty sure like it's still on his fingertips but we can't say for 100% certain. Inconclusive.
Here's the video.

This is better than what the officials used to make their ruling and it's also better than what TNT? gave us or whichever broadcaster it was.
This looks like the ball is off his left hand, but maybe touching fingertips on the right, but we can't really see. It could also be half an inch out of his fingertips on the right hand.
Tough call, but this image suggests to me it was a good call.

I get this, like purely logically, if a basket is concluded with the hands on the ball, its either time left or basket no good. But if its, like, less than half of 0.1 left, they prob call that 0. You know?
The real reason is prob just the flow of the game and ending it with a buzzer.

I dont know the rule, but I feel like the bucket should count since it's being dunked in and leaving Gordon's hands (which is obviously unique). But I want to see a statement about the rule. The officials technically claimed the ball was NOT touching Gordon's hands, but idk if I agree.
Also the ref said "was leaving" his hand...
Im assuming he knew something there that we dont know about, otherwise he wouldnt have chose such wording. So it might say something of that kind in the rulebook. Although considering we still havent heard of it..

This is not conclusive.
There is nothing that 100% supports it was a good shot.
There is nothing that 100% supports it was a bad shot.
It's unclear.
And it still got counted, despite denver playing outside their home. They are very lucky in getting away with it.
Also what you just said about the obnoxious retard directly below you in another thread is completely true in all levels lmao.

Game 5, 10:00 EST, TNT
Series is going back to Denver with it tied 2-2. I'm not sure who I want to come out of this series. I think the Clippers would put up a better fight against the Thunder if the advanced, but I'd like to see Jokic go up against SGA since SGA is going to be winning MVP.

What are the chances that the NBA would opt to cut the series short by reversing that call, rather than insuring at least two, and probably three more games in a great series? There’s no way the Clippers are getting that call if it’s at all questionable. FWIW, I haven’t seen a replay that clearly decides it. I might be better able to form an opinion if I knew the frame rates of the replay. (There’s no replay that shows it in his hands when the lights are all on, and none that shows it completely out of his hands when they are not.)

I have no idea. The best shot of the replay is the shot from above and since there's no clear indication of it being off his fingertips or not when the light goes off because the frames jump so much I think they made the right call because there's no inconclusive evident to overturn the call even though they said they see it off Gordon's fingertips.

They called it good on the court so they needed clear evidence to overturn it. It was too close to reverse that decision. They made the right call. It would've been worse if they said it wasn't good tbh it was a great moment for the league, will probably stand as the most memorable play of these Playoffs unless something crazier happens.
As far as there being a conspiracy to extend the series, they could've easily called a foul on Josh Hart when Tim Hardaway shot the corner 3 against the Knicks in Game 4, potentially tying the series and making the league more money if that series went to 6-7 instead of 5-6, yet the ref blew the call. On the other hand you basically secure the series win for the Knicks and they're a much bigger draw than the Pistons.
Since they legalized sports gambling and basically everyone does it now they should implement a VAR-like system for these end of game calls specifically. Can't leave it up to human error.

Da real MVP is going to ball out tonight. He doesn't want to see his horses this early.

What’s crazy, is how unhealthy Denver is, and how well Kawhi played for a lot of this series, and Denver likely about to go up 3-2 in the series.

Hate to say it but no longer like the Clippers chances.
Denver given a last second call last game that zero chance LA would have been given in those circumstances if they were about to go up 3-1 and now coming out flat tonight. Harden is going to get worse and worse as the series goes on and he always becomes Playoff Harden around Game 5.
I hope I'm wrong, but wouldn't surprise me to see Harden finish 5-20 in the game and Denver go up 3-1.
